 Does anyone know if you can use the photopass cards on the cruise or are they only used in the parks?

If I could wish for anything from DCL, then it would be to introduce photopass. At the moment photopass is only available at the WDW parks/water parks, and the photos are very good (and the CD is great value). I really hope that one day they will introduce this, but as I'm sure that DCL make a ton of dosh with their photos, I doubt they will :)

On a similar note , we were also very disappointed to find that the DisneyPhotoMovie site also had no cruise backgrounds last year..you can use both PhotoPass and 100+ of your own digital images to make your own mini Disney movie & slide show. It features all the Disney Parks & many of the Resorts...but not the cruises :(
They have since closed the DPM site for improvements...I'm really hoping that cruise backgrounds are available when it comes back..we ended up having to use the MGM park background for our cruise pictures, as it was more general than the others.........it was still a great movie though.:thumbs-up
Sorry Jackie, I can't answer this one. I would email DCL and ask.

I haven't done this myself, but I have often seen it mentioned, that your Disney cruise is an excellent, and more cost effective, place to get one of those family photos done that normally cost a fortune in this country.
You can get an appointment at the Shutters studio and they will do lovely barefoot, 'freestyle' type family photos.....if you know what I mean.
..they are not cheap, but they are nothing like as expensive as a certain well known British franchaise that offers a similar thing.
Just a thought

We purchased a 'Package' on our cruise but in the end we didnt want ALL the pics (10) so we just chose what we wanted, paid for them & the package was refunded. that way you do have a rough idea how much they could cost.
My fav one is of my ds(12) who sneaked off & lined up for a Mickey photo just to surprise me!!
It is tempting to buy every pic taken but its where to show them off once you get home!
Our lounge is now full of pics, all in frames, of us on DCL, at WDW, Seaworld,etc....I have to display them all as they cost too much to hide away!
What do you all do with your 'Proffessional' photos?

I haven't bought too many professional photos (my DD and Cinderella at MK was too hard to resist though  ), but what I have done with some of my own better photos, is to buy a very large (A4, or bigger) clip frame.
Then using other bits of souvenirs, such as menus, entry tickets, room service door hangers, any logo-ed labels/badges, postcards, and other interesting bits & pieces,.... arranged them altogether in the frame, to make a large collage to put on the wall.
This way you can have more than one photo displayed, plus all the other interesting bits of reminders about your trip
