what does the carriage you sit in, in return of the Mummy look like?, also does the ride go upside down?. On the Jurrasic Park ride, is there something to hold on to in the boats as you go down the big slope at the end?.

Mummy ride is just a roller coaster, but not a very long ride. It's great, not too scary, and at one point you go backwards.
Jurasic park on the front of your seats there's a big bar to hold on to, it's a great ride too, go on them both.

Here's the mummy ride :D as you can tell by my 3 teenagers at the front, there are bars but you don't necessarily need them.

and here is the jurassic park ride.

Jurassic Park has a bigger drop at the end but neither are too bad. The Mummy is one of my fav rides in orlando - it is exellent.

I hate JP ! My kids thought they were going to fall out as they had a rather portly fella in their row and the bar came nowhere near them ! Apparently it is impossible to fall out though !

I'm a big chicken and I had no problem with either of these. Jurassic Park is more or less the same as splash mountain (I didn't find the drop any different although I believe it's a bit higher). Actually I went on JP because I didn't associate it with the drop, didn't realise they were the same ride at all until it arrived  I thought the JP ride was going to be harmless (and the rest of it is). Loved it though and went again.

I was terrified going on the Mummy as I had heard so much about it, I thought it was going to be terrible. It was fine, the nearest Disney ride I can think of is maybe Dinosaur? Definitely not upside down, fast twists and turns but nothing where I was afraid I was going to fall out or anything.

I haven't been on Rock n Roller Coaster or Space Mountain yet, never mind any of the big coasters like Hulk. The worst ride that I have been on (in my opinion only of course) in Orlando was    Goofy's Barnstormer !! Give me Mummy/JP anyday rather than that again.

The Mummy and JP are two of my favourite rides....you'll be able to handle both of them without a problem. The drop on JP is fantastic but that's the only thrill part, on the Mummy you do move at a fair pace in some of the bends but it is all over pretty quickly. Give them a try, you'll love them.

I loved the Mummy - and I'm not a roller coaster fan at all! (The Flying Unicorn at IoA freaked me out!)

Jurrassic Park is okayish - most of the ride is nowhere near as good as Dinosaur (imho) and the drop is BIG!

I havnt beed on everest but im sure its much worse than mummy as it will have more drops and stuff. i dont do coasters but mummy i can do still to this day i dont know how my kids got me on it but sinace then i have been on several times its fast and jerky and the drops arnt that big splash mountain and jurassic park drops turn my stomach more and i only go on them because there is just the 1 drop and i can just about cope lol just wish they were at the beginning so i could enjoy the ride more lol without worrying all the way round but then thye cant be that bad as i do go on them again

Last year was my first time and i did all the rides that i could, even my DD's did all the rides, lots of first times for them.:spin:

Sometimes i think it is better not to know to much about the ride and just to do it, apart from knowing if it goes upside down - though the restraints usually give you a clue :d:

The only ride i didn't like was Shiek-ra at BG but i don't like Oblivion at Alton Towers for the same reason, though had to do it twice as DD's wanted to do it again :nonono:

If only I could pluck up the courage:(

Revenge was the first scary ride I went on in Orlando last year - and I loved it.

Always been a bit of a baby before, never ever go on rides - never been to Alton Towers or Oakwood etc, but the Disney / Universal rides are a lot better.

Now I'm even thinking about going on the Hulk when we go back

:grumpy:

Oh yea, I forgot - Jurassic Park - LOVED IT!

Is the drop less than the Atlantis ride at SeaWorld?

in JP you sit in rows of 5or6 and you have a padded lap bar but this only comes down to the largest person in your row so if your skinny this can make you feel a little uncomfortable, but i usually press hard on my feet when you drop, it makes me a little more secure, fab and safe ride. In the mummy ride you sit in bucket seats where your hips are lower or equal to your knees and you have your own lapbar you feel very safe and secure....
