Has any-one tried Disney Quest?
Is it any good, and what parks is it near?

Hi Kerry,
Personally we didnt think it was very good, its like a giant arcade where all the games are free (after you have paid the admission fee). I know I have read on the Dibb some very good reports about it, but we just didnt see the point. Disney Quest is located at Downtown Disney so the nearest park would be Typhoon Lagoon.
If youre buying a multi day Disney pass its usually included on that ticket so you dont have to pay to go in.
If youre in the area and stuck for something to do (which I doubt) then give it ago, if you have teenage kids they will probably love it.
Im sure someone else will share their opinions soon.

We went 4 times last year and loved it! Its in downtown disney. :) Defo worth a visit.
We give it an hour or so on the day we check in at DTD . Personally i couldn't be bothered with it . There is some good stuff but not enough to warrant a special trip imho

We went after our DTD check-in on the way home and I'm afraid we didn't enjoy it, there's nothing for smaller children to do there really - although I imagine many teenagers would enjoy it... As said before it is mostly arcade games. DH enjoyed the Ride the Comix VR thing on the top floor though.
My two love it and I have to say I dont mind it either. They just love spending time there. It is loud so be warned. I would rather go and sit down with a good book and a coffee and let them get on with it - oh apart that is from playing Mighty Ducks. Im getting very good at that! lol

My boys love it they have time together there while I shop or sleep.
I like it, it's nice place to 'play' for a few hours!

my kids loved it and hoping to go there this year
I went one time because I had free tickets for it. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked it because I'm not really into video games, I ended up having the best time, it was great fun!

I have only been once and that was years ago ... If you like noise, kids running riot and arcade games then go for it ...
it was my idea of hell I only lasted about an hour and having a small child at the time everything she wanted to do was an extra charge!!
it is basically a creche for teenagers IMO
if you have it included in your ticket and have nothing better to do then give it a whirl. I wouldn't pay extra to go in

Our teenagers enjoyed it. On our last visit it was included in our tickets not sure if I'd pay for a return visit. But would def go if it was included again.
I think it is potentially great, lots of arcade games and the like. In reality I've found that often the games are broken or the lines are long to get on them.
It is perfect for kids on a wet day, but I do not think I will be going again. I thought there were rumours that it was being closed down to be replaced by an ESPN zone, but I maybe wrong.

if you love arcade games and virtual reality then you will love it most of its free but sometimes you have to wait a while to get on the most popular games, also the lift up to the floors deserve a mention, genie from alladin greats you in the lift fantastic.......

i think disneyquest is the sort of place you drop the kids for a few hours peace! it was okay, fun in parts, but if it didn't come free with our disney tickets, I would not have bothered

Well, if you like loud noise, dark, and teenagers its fab!
I hate all 3, so does DW, DD, and DS and we loathed the place. It is nowhere near the superb standard of everything else Disney, and they should close it right this second. It is not big and it is not clever. Rant over.

Our boys love it there but I can take it or leave it. TBH, it's a bit dated now and last year loads of the machines and games were out of order. I'm sure I read somewhere recently that Disney are thinking of closing it, can't be sure though.

We went last year and loved it but my mother is 64 and didnt like it very much apart for the boat ride down stairs and the coffee, i will def be going back this visit.

They do have a cheesecake outlet there.:D
Very noisey and not for everyone but great for teens. Completely indoors and quite warm.

We've never heard of Disney Quest before and have looked in the Brits guide for info. It says in there that tickets cost around $30 each, although a few people on here have said they only went because their tickets included entry into Disney Quest?
Would normal park tickets to Disney entitle you to go into DQ or do you have to have certain types of tickets, perhaps hopper tickets with the water parks option? If you go to DQ and use these tickets, does it count as 1 day used from the tickets?
The first time we went in 2001 DD was 5 and we found there was nothing much she could do so never bothered going back again till last year (when i decided i wanted to use the free internet for a spot of Dibbing!)
DH and DD disappeared for a couple of hours and had a great time while i sat practically screaming at those very slow, very frustating computer screens! It took me over an hour to post one thread!
They're both insisting on going back again this year and, as it's rumoured to be closing in 2008, they intend to spend hours in there! I will be giving it a miss and wandering round the shops instead! ;)
