Ok - I've rewritten this itinerary so many times I think it's time for some fresh pairs of eyes to comment on it!!! Here goes ...

Background: myself and DH have 2 boys aged 3 and 12 and we're going with friends who have a 19 year old son. We're staying in a villa off US27. I've planned in lots of rest days as it's only 7 months since DH had heart attack and I don't really want to kill him off with a holiday :bheart:

Thursday 19th July - arrive at Sandford late afternoon. Pick up cars - find villa - food - bed:zzz:

Friday 20th July - recovery day from travelling. Check out Walmart's/Publix and generally chill out in pool. Maybe Downtown Disney early evening

Saturday 21st July - Magic Kingdom early then back to villa pm for rest - return to MK for evening + Wishes

Sunday 22nd July - Rest day - shopping malls/I-Drive?

Monday 23rd July - Epcot early - rest pm then back to Epcot for evening + Illuminations

Tuesday 24th July - Blizzard Beach

Wednesday 25th July - Day at beach at Clearwater - Screamer?

STAY OVERNIGHT IN CLEARWATER AREA THEN:

Thursday 26th July - Busch Gardens then return to our villa

Friday 27th July - Rest day

Saturday 28th July - MGM Early - rest pm then back for Fantasmic

Sunday 29th July - Animal Kingdom with breakfast at Donald's Breakfastosaurus

Monday 30th July - Typhoon Lagoon

Tuesday 31st July - Seaworld + Mistify

Wednesday 1st August - Final shopping/revisits/chill out

Thursday 2nd August - Fly from Sandford pm

Friday 3rd August - Get home - hopefully chilled and rested!!!

How does this sound to you? Any comments appreciated.

Thanks

Your itinerary looks nice and chilled and nicely spaced out.

The only thing i would say is you are going at a busy time of year and i am not sure scheduling only 1 visit to each of the Disney parks is going to be enough especially with an afternoon rest on each day too.

Are you planning on going back? If you are then you will be able to do everything you missed this time next time. But if not then maybe you may need to put a few extra park days in.

But i appreciate that your DH needs to take it easy.

Personally, we love to go to a park on the first day even if it's just for a few hours to ease us into the holiday. Otherwise, I think this sounds great as you're busy but also have lots of rest days for your DH.

Have a wonderful time.

Thanks for your comments.

Perhaps we could be tempted by a short visit to a park on our first day - I did toy with the idea in the first place but thought we might all be to whacked.

I know we might struggle to get everything done with just allowing one day for each park so maybe we could do revisits on our rest days if we need to. Otherwise we will just have to have another holiday to see everything we didn't have time for :d: :d:

Can't wait for 19th July....

Have only been twice before both times oct/nov. But on both these visits we did Seaworld on our first day, gets you in the holiday mood and its a nice and leisurely there.

Trying to go back next year but this time in aug so either the heat or the humidity will kill me first, but school needs must come first now kids are getting older.

So once I get my dates sorted I will be needing lots of advice.

Looks good, but then I liked the first one you did!!!!!!!!! LOL

I like to go to DTD on the day of arrival. That way you get some of the Disney feel without having to waste a days ticket. You could grab a bite to eat and then go back to your villa.
