Howdy,
I just booked train tickets for a family of four from Manchester to London for just £70. To me this was a fantastic deal, but we now need to find a hotel ! If anyone knows of a reasonably priced hotel not far from euston, two nights midweek in June, please let me know.
Any other London tips much appreciated too as this will be our first trip to The Capital
cheers

Staying at the Hilton Euston next week on one of the 2 night breaks that includes breakfast and dinner on the first night. Done a couple of these breaks before in London but this is our first time at Euston. Can let you know what its like next week.

Try the Premier Travel Inn right opposite Euston Station ,you can book a family room and the prices are really reasonable

we stayed at Luna and Simone hotel in Pimlico. Picked it from trip advisor and it was fab. Minutes walk from Victoria Station and on the main 24 bus route. Cost us £60 b and b for a double but they have family rooms as well.

We're staying at the Premier Travel Inn, County Hall (right by the London Eye) this weekend.
We're paying £92 for the room (sleeps 4). Breakfast is a buffet for an extra £7.50 but kids eat that free. I would imagine the one at Euston is a similar price and I'd recommend them as a hotel chain.
I go to London with my two kids quite regularly (being an ex-Londoner!) and they love the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, both are free and there's loads to see and do.
Covent Garden is great fun with lots of street entertainers and places to eat. You could also try one of the hop-on hop-off bus tours. We've done one of these, I think it was The Original Bus Tour and that was good fun and really interesting. The other thing we've done which was excellent was a bus that then turned into a boat and took us up the Thames!! It was called London Duck Tours.
There's a good web site kids.visitlondon.com that I've got loads of ideas from.
Have fun! :)
Astrid will you let me know what the hotel is like when you get back as we are thinking of going to stay in london for a weekend in August and the hotel you are staying in sounds good.
Many thanks
