Sharks Underwater Grill - question?

Hello

My apologies if this has already been asked.....Although I have been to WDW & Universal twice, never ventured to Seaworld.

I fancy having lunch at the Underwater Grill (and hope the sharks don't fancy me!!!). Can anyone tell me if it is possible to request a particular table ie right up next to the sharks? Is there a best place to sit, eat and watch the sharks??

I would appreciate any advice you can give.

We love this restaurant but didn't manage to get a tank side seat the first time . Last year i said to the lady " please please please can we have a tank side seat , we have tried before and never got one ?" She was great and fitted us in. The food is great but i felt they rushed us last year a bit . Next time i will say " please do not bring our mains until we have finished our starters " .

Tank side seat!!! I was struggling to find the right words!!!! I was thinking 'window seat' and 'seat by the sharks'.....Thanks for that!

Did you make an ADR or did you chance it on the day? Can one make an ADR? What does it feel like eating right next to the tank? If you had to go again, where would you want to sit?

Sorry about all the questions!!! I am getting really excited...almost as excited when I first went to WDW in 99!

We just went up and asked , but we did have to eat early , at about 4 30 pm. You probably could ring and book though , sorry i don't know the number though .

We went in August last year - you couldn't book in advance but had to go on the day to book at the restaurant itself (booking opened at 10.00 am). We booked an evening table and asked for a tank side seat. They noted the request but they said they could not guarantee this. When we returned for the booking I repeated the request and did a bit of pleading (we had been first in the queue in the morning!). We waited a few extra minutes and got a tank side seat. The meal and service were great and they did not mind our 14 year olds eating from the kids menu and we were not rushed at all.

Thanks for that. If I can't book in advance I will make sure that we are first in the queue at 10am sharp!!!!

We had a fab steak here, it gets very busy, as you said I would book as soon as you can in the morning.

We got a tank side table but it was dh's 30th birthday. you could try that one!
