Hi everyone,
we are going on our first florida holiday in october and staying at the quality inn plaza on international drive.
Can anyone please give me some suggestions for places to eat in that area. I would rather go to somewhere recommended. I was going to go to race rock as i've read so many threads about it but someone has since said that it has closed down???
Anyway we don't have a car but don't mind paying for taxis if it is later at night when the i-rides stop running.
thank you

Our favourite is Pizzeria Uno (they do lots more than just pizza). There is a TGI Friday near your hotel on the opposite side of the road. You are also really handy for Pointe Orlando, which is roughly on the opposite side of the road (I-Drive). We like Jonny Rockets in there for a burger/snack and great milkshakes. There are some new restaurants just opened in there. We are hoping to try one or two of them when we go next month.

You are also near Bahama Breeze which is good and also if you like Chinese Ming Court is really close to you as well.

I'd say you are in an ideal location for a wide range of restaurants, both selection and price wise.

Have fun!

Our favourite is a Japanese restaurant called Kobe - an absolute gem. Fantastic food and a great atmosphere. I had a workman here a few days ago and we got talking about Orlando and food (as you do!) and he was saying this was his favourite too. B.Breeze is fab as well.

Hi - we're staying at the QIP this year too. Stayed at a hotel on the opposite side of the road last year & it's a great location.

Lots of wonderful eateries - shame about Race Rock, but the new places in Pointe Orlando are meant to be fab.

Olive Garden is alos very very nice, their salad and breadsticks, yum!
For a really cheap meal, we love CiCis all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad for ( I think) $4.99
Salt Island Chophouse is very nice for a more expensive meal and Texas De Brazil is fab! You will never be stuck for choice thats for sure

If you do go to Olive Garden, and you have to wait (you usually do) then have a strawberry smoothie.......OMG.........it's absolutely gorgeous!!!

I personally wouldn't go to Olive Garden again, but that's just my opinion.

The Cattlemans is awful, and is really expensive IMHO.

TGI Friday's is quite nice, as is Wild Jacks. We usually have a good meal at WJ's, but when we were there about a month ago, there was a family party of around 20 people, ranging in age from about 2 to about 82, and ALL of them left nearly all of their meals, and walked out - after a row with the waiter!!!

Have a fantastic time there - we all know you will

Bahama Breeze is very handy to the QIP and has been already said is very good. You've got Pointe Orlando across the road with quite a few different places to eat (Johnny Rockets, Hooters etc...)

Loads of places on I-drive to eat, you'll find somewhere different every night.

Our favorites are Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden, basically across the road from each other and a 2 min walk from where you are staying.

Have a look at www.bahamabreeze.com - lovely to sit outside after dinner (which is always delish) and have lots of cocktails and www.olivegardem.com - food is fab, they do food to take away as well, we did this a few times after a long day at the parks

Try Ponderosa, for breakfast and dinner, Dennys' Dinner, Best Western Steakhouse, and there are plenty of other nice places, too many to mention.
