Off to Gatwick from Glasgow by GNER Train on Friday :( - Seemed like a good idea at the time!

Anyone got any ideas for keeping teenagers amused for 5 hours, or at least away from each other's throats.

Have got ordinary tickets for the train which were cheap (hence the reason for taking the train) but hoping to upgrade to Weekend First on the day to give ourselves a bit more room. Has anyone done this? I can't seem to find out very much about this, but I think you can upgrade on the day if there are still first class seats available. (Good Friday - maybe not).

Anyway - wish me luck! If anyone spots me at Gatwick I'll be the one looking harrassed being pursued by 2 great big teenagers and a husband refusing to set foot on a train ever again.

As I said. It seemed like a good idea at the time :d:

I'm on GNER now, on my way back from Edinburgh,

First Class is great, wireless capability! Plug sockets to keep your electrical items charged, free tea coffee water etc, plus you can order food from your seats. Usually very comfy.

Can't help on the upgrade thing, but first class is a nice way to travel.

I wish you lots of luck - you'll be on trains for about 7 hours

If you are going via Kings Cross and Kings Cross Thameslink just be warned that they are separate stations, about 300 yards apart. Its a long way to carry luggage so hopefully yours is on wheels.

Lots of luck and in best Dibb tradition some PD too. :pd
