View Full Version : Best time to book to eat and then see Illuminations show at Epcot
What time do the illuminations start at Epcot? I am trying to arrange my ADR's and can't find the times for this show anywhere. I want to eat at one of the table service restaurants beforehand, but want to allow plenty of time so we don't miss the start of the show and get a good vantage point. Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.

Illuminations starts at 9pm.
It depends where you want to eat as The Rose & CRown is a great place to view the fireworks from so you could perhaps make a reservation for 7.30 - 8pm and watch them from there.
Otherwise prob have to make it for 6.30 to give you a good chance of getting served and find a good place to view the fireworks

Illuminations is on at 9pm every evening. If you want a sit down meal at somewhere like Le Cellier then you will probably be looking at no later than 7pm to dine. This gives you enough time to eat and then get a decent spot for the fireworks.
If you are hoping to dine at the Rose and Crown for getting an outside seat for the fireworks then you will want to be booking no earlier that 7pm as they allow you 2 hours so if you book before 7pm you will be out of the restaurant before the fireworks start.
We have booked the Rose and Crown in the hope of getting an outside table and our ADR is for 7.20pm.
Thanks, think I will try for the Rose & Crown. Sorry to be so full of questions, but do you know what time Wishes firework show starts. Is that 9 pm too?

Wishes varies depending on the night. Which night are you looking at? Or if you give me your holiday dates i can tell you what time it is on each night.:)
I would book between 6.30 and 7pm but no later. You need to take account of a wait for a table and then you just dont know how fast or slow the service is going to be. I would say you also need to 'book' your spot about 45mins before the 9pm start.

Hi Leanne, thinking of Sat 18 Aug, we are at Disney from 12 Aug (1st nite so don't count) until Sat 25 Aug. Don't really mind when we go as don't want to miss it! Did you say you are on the DDP and still eat elsewhere as well. We don't necessarily want to eat at the Park every night.

These are the Wishes times for those dates:
13th-18th August Wishes at 10pm
19th Aug Wishes at 9pm
20th Aug Wishes at 10pm
21st-22nd Wishes at 9pm
23rd Aug Wishes at 10pm
24th Aug Wishes at 9pm
25th Aug Wishes at 10pm
If you go to the official Disney site and click on calendar you can choose the month you wish to view. Then if you click on each individual day it will show you parade and fireworks times.
We do have the DDP this year for the first time so most of our dining will be at the parks, DTD and the resort hotels. We will be dining at Universal Citywalk also, as we have an overnight stay at the Hard Rock Hotel too.
Hope this helps and keep the questions coming, we like to help.

Thanks for the info Leanne. Sorry I haven't replied earlier, but have been busy over Easter what with spring cleaning and days out! Have a free day today so trying to sort ADR's out, yet again!

We have Yachstman Steakhouse booked for 6pm on the night we plan to watch Illuminations, I reckon that will give us enough time as i'm not one for 'staking out' parade or fireworks spots hours before!
