View Full Version : DTD - where do you eat on your first night?

I'm thinking we will feel rather travel weary but will be grateful for a bit of fresh air, warm food and a chance to get our bearings so thinking of heading to DTD on our first evening.

Where would you recommend to eat? Somewhere not too smart, fairly quick service so I don't fall asleep on the table and nothing too posh on the menu?
(Not MacDonalds) Rainforest cafe? Planet Hollywood? Wolfgang Puck?

I love Wolfgang Pucks.
The quesadillas are yummy.

Might have a fair wait for Rain forest, I'd say Earl of Sandwich then if still peckish a pud from Ghard..., Girhar..., you know, the Ice Cream place:blush:

Of the three you've mentioned I'd go for Wolfgang Pucks, simply because you are likely to get served more quickly in there. It can still be a bit slow though. Planet Hollywood can be very slow and you are likely to have a long wait to be seated for the Rainforest Cafe.

Yep the excitement is mounting now  We did most of our final shopping today so it's just a case of waiting now (oh and cleaning the flat). 4 more days to work which I am hoping will fly by. I really would like to start packing now, but we don't have the luxury of a second bedroom so don't have the space to lay things out...if I put a case in the living room one or both of the cats will curl up in it. :pgig:

We ate twice in Wolfgang Puck Express. Although it was Easter/Spring Break it wasn't busy either time (long wait for RFC) and the food was tasty and reasonably priced.

is it just me that doesnt like DTD? None of the restraunts really appeal and we had the worst meal of the trip at Rainforest cafe - even though we had an ADR we still had to wait an hour before we got seated and the food and service just wasnt worth it IMO.
DTD just didnt do it for me either - I hated the fact that you had to walk around the back and at the edge of the carpark to get from one side to the other - terrible planning in my book! And it was soooooo horribly busy when we went, people were acting like demented animals in the shops :(

Ohh sorry - I do like one shop - the Goofy sweet shop ;)

I think we may try WP on the evening that we go to Cirque. :)
