Where do people think is the best place to go for ribs, steaks etc. and also where for seafood?

We're staying near the 27/192 junction so locations preferable in that area. We've tried the Golden Coral, Ponderosa etc. for food before and now we want to go to more specialist restaurants.

We're looking to pay more than usual but not too expensive and we need somewhere that also sells burgers, pizza etc. as our son will not eat anything else! That way, us and our daughter can try things we haven't had before and he'll be happy too!

Red Lobster for seafood (they do steak and chicken as well) - there is one on the 192 near Kissimmee Old Town.
I don't think you can beat Tony Romas for ribs - is there one on the 192?

One of the best steaks I've had in Orlando was at the Red lobster.

Without doubt Tony Romas for ribs - best we have EVER had! DH had a burger in there too and said it was Yummmmm.
Dont think there is one on 192 though? we went to the one on I drive as its not to far up from seaworld :)

Best steak was LeCellier by a mile, we also went to the Outback but none of us thought it was much good - which suprised me as its a firm Dibb favourite!

I Dont eat seafood (only shrimp) but Lobster grill buffet is supposed to be good and so is Flying fish cafe and a place called blue zoo or blue room? thinks at at Swan & Dolphin.

We all loved Bahama breeze and plan on eating there at least twice next trip - they do everything from ribs to steak to burgers, gorgeous pizza and fresh fish and shrimp to die for!

Olive Garden is always good value for money too for pasta/pizza :)

Have heard quite a lot recently about this place - and location wise it would be good for us as we are staying at Highlands Reserve - is it before the 192 turn off or after it up towards Orange tree?

What did you have to eat there? Any recommendations? Ohhh - and can you book in advance? :tounge:

Here is the website

You need to turn right out of Highlands Reserve and head for Haines City. it is probably around 8 miles from you.

Ribs; Tony Romas (on i Drive so not too convenient for you)
Steak; Outback on the 192 near your end
Seafood; Red Lobster also on 192 very near Outback.

They all do burgers too (I think) and kids menus.
Be prepared to wait a few minutes between say 5 and 7.
We weren't too impressed with Golden Corral type places - fine for fuelling up at breakfast, but in the evenings you should spend a little more, I feel. Entrees are in the $15 - $30 region before tax and tips.
For a treat, try Fultons crab house at Downtown Disney - lunch there is good value methinks.

Another vote for Tony Roma's - fantastic steaks and ribs.

Like the look of Mannys will probably try that next time.

We are Manny's veterans and always ensure we get a couple of meals there. Loads of choice and everything is all good! I shocked a group of loud Yanks who were tucking into their steaks, by polishing off a 16ozs steak, with half rack of ribs and a loaded baked potato. :tounge:

Beware it is always busy and the car park is full from just after opening at 4pm- you cannot book a table in advance but turn up, get a drink and they will call you.

Turn right out of Highlands Reserve and drive south about 10 miles to Haines City.

We visit Red Lobster, Carrabbas and Outback Steakhouse at Formosa Gardens on 192. Those are your nearest to HR. Also try Cracker Barrel - its only about 5 minutes south of HR, on your left, just after Walgreens at the lights.

We are Manny's fans too! We noticed loads of people taking home doggy bags as the portions are so big. None of us managed a dessert. The salad is beautiful! Will definitely be calling in in August. Big Walmart across the road too - next to Southern Dunes.

Thanks all for your replies. We'll try a few of these places and hopefully we'll all be able to eat something we like!
