View Full Version : I have a little confession to make ...

Today i have had a little tinkle around with my adr's!
Yes i know i said i wouldn't do it but needs must!
I needed to change our evening Whispering Canyon adr to lunchtime to fit in with the Pirate & Princess Party (ssssh, don't tell DD, it's a secret) so i thought i'd phone myself rather than bother the wonderful Val with this trifling little matter! ;)
Anyway i spoke to a lovely lady who seemed quite amazed by my long list of bookings! She then went through them all given me her opinions as she went! She was very impressed by my choices but then came the classic "Veronica, you've got some wonderful choices here but are you sure you want to eat at Planet Hollywood?" :omg: :pgig:
So Planet Hollywood is no more and we have switched to 'Ohana instead - which is the lovely CM's personal favourite! :pgig:
After a 20 minute chat i came off the phone feeling extremely happy and bubbly and very Disneyfied!
Thank God for cheap rate phone calls!
So there it is, i confessed but don't blame me - the CM made me do it!

Think the cm was right as we went to planet hollywood last year and it was rubbish. We were really looking forward to going as well.

Are you ready for them all having a go at you vron, you know they will say they were all right ;)

Helen, i must admit i wasn't going to confess but you can guess some bright spark will have noticed 'Ohana wasn't on my original list and i'd have been busted when i do my trip report!
I'm just too honest for my own good ;) :pgig:

Veronica!!!
I so don't want to be you when some of your sparring partners hit the boards later!!
Congrats though, heaven knows why you picked Planet Hollywood after all the slating here - 'Ohana will be MUCH better!

If you don't mind how old is your DD as I'm wondering about the Pirate & Princess Party but I'm not sure if at 12 and 14 my DD's,one of whom truly believes that she's a princess and the world revolves around her:pgig: are too old.

DD will be nearly 11 going on 24,;) but i know she'll love every minute of it!
Now all i've got to do is work on putting an outfit together for her without her realising what's going on and convince DH it's the law that he has to dress as Captain Jack that night! :tounge: :pgig:

Ohh you've made the right choice, PH was a little rubbish - you can walk in most times anyway if you still want to go!

I must admit we had a really good lunch at PH last year! We went at lunchtime when it was quiet, the food was good and we didn't feel rushed at all! But judging by all the bad reviews i've heard i doubt we would have been that lucky again during free dining!

I've just changed two of ours, only the times though to later breakfast times. There were still plenty of times available for breakfast at O'Hana and Boma for our dates.

We spent 5 days at Universal last year so have decided 2 days will be enough this year! We've also just booked 2 nights at SSR which we hadn't planned on doing!

is it really that bad we have 1 ts to book and ph was the chosen one ,want to book something before thursday as the free dining opens to the u.s market and might make getting adrs difficult.any suggestions.

We had a really nice meal there last year but a lot of Dibbers have experienced very poor service and so-so food! We went at lunchtime when it was fairly quiet and we didn't feel at all rushed!
The first time we went in 2001 it was nothing special so it does seem to have its off days!

Soon as DH got a mere sniff of dressing as a pirate he said no way, so lloks like we won't be going after all:cry:
