Free dining avail for Aug 26th - Sept 22nd

Just a quick heads up for anyone who is going in late Aug or Sept this year and who is planning on booking their own accommodation with Disney directly. Disney are once again offering their free dining package for stays between Aug 26th and Sept 22nd this year. You must book a new package including tickets and stay at a Disney Resort directly with Disney either via the US Disney site or a Disney specialist TA like Val.

To book a package you have to have a minimum of a 1 days Magic Your Way ticket for each person in the party as well as the accommodation. Bookings are starting on Thursday and there will only be a certain number of rooms available at each resort so if you are interested in booking this then don't leave it too long!!

Have looked into this quite a lot but in the end have decided to book our 4 days from Aug 26th to 30th at the Beach Club with AAA discount instead of free dining as we will already have our Disney ultimate tickets and really don't want to have to buy extra tickets. Plus we will have already had 11 days of free dining at POR earlier in our holiday.

We have made ADR's for most of our trip in September but I've left us 3 days in the middle week with no reservations to keep a little flexibility. Will I have any problems making reservations while we're there?

From what i've read regarding previous free dining periods it has been extremely busy and very difficult to make last minute adr's!
We went in November last year (which is low season) and still struggled to find somewhere to eat on a couple of occassions! Certain restaurants had no availabilty for the whole two weeks we were there!
I'd suggest booking those extra adr's, you can always cancel if you change your mind! :wave:

Sounds bad but glad it finishes on 22 Sept. that's when we arrive.!! :blush: Although we have free dining hopefully it will be a little quieter.

Free Dining for Disney Visa Cardholders: A special Magic Your Way package with Free Dining for Disney Visa cardholders is available starting yesterday, April 9. It is available to book between 4/9/07 – 6/24/07, for travel dates 8/26/07 – 9/22/07 and will require a minimum 3-night stay and 1-day theme park ticket purchase.

This will become open to everyone from April 12. UK visitors can take up on this offer, you must however purchase a minimum of a 1 day base ticket per person, but this is still a great offer, for those who could not lock in on the UK offer.
