Does anyone know if you have to make ADR's when on the Disney Dining Plan for the hotel you are actually stopping in? We are stopping at Animal Kingdom Lodge and I am thinking about breakfast. I am in the process of sorting our evening adr's but DH thinks we shouldn't have to book breakfast at a hotel that we have paid to stay in. I have seen lots of recommendations on this forum for Breakfast at Bomas and wouldn't want to miss out on this. Also if you want to have breakfast in your room do you have to book this on an ADR?

You still need to make an ADR even for a restaurant in the resort where you are staying, especially true for Boma. It is extremely popular and not to be missed, it was heaving every day when we stayed there and they were turning people away.

I changed our time for our Boma breakfast yesterday for 22nd August and there were lots of times still available. I would still make ADRs for all the TS restaurants you want to eat at.

Definatly book,we stayed for 2 weeks last year and saw how many people who where staying at AKL couldnt get an ADR.
They open at 7.30 am so i would say book.

Edited to say if you eat in your room you dont need ADr just phone room service or order on the card.

Definitely, definitely book, last year we had trouble getting reservations at the hotel we stayed at.

Remember , US hotels and resaurants are not used like those in the UK. It may help to consider, when in the US that the restaurant is separate.

There is a self service restaurant near the pool at AKL where you can just turn up. The food is nowhere near as good or the same as Boma.

For Boma you will need an ADR unless you are willing to wait on spec and may not get in.
