DIBB Closed for Scheduled Maintenance

Hi,
As the first part in our upgrade we will be moving the DIBB to a new server, we will need to do some maintenance on the DIBB Database and other areas of the site to effect the move. This includes updating the database software version, updating the server side software, upgrading the Forum software and some general housekeeping.

To do this effectively we need to close the DIBB for a period of time.

The DIBB will be closed from very early Saturday Morning to sometime Saturday Afternoon.

I can't give you exact times as we have to backup and restore over a million posts and threads from the database and I can only estimate that this will take several hours to complete.

Good luck Stu, I guess you'll get no sleep that night (I'd start that sort of job around midnight or 1am, when the traffic normally would be at its lightest)

Ok thanks for letting us know. I will try to cope without sitting at the computer every 5 mins. At least it is the qualifying for F1 so I should be ok!!!

Sounds like a good excuse to start our packing tommorrow then.

You won't notice many changes as this part of the upgrade is nearly all backend stuff. The front end upgrade will take place later in the year.
