Hi
Last time we went to Florida two years ago, we went to Walmart but didn't really look round the food aisles. We bought clothes and shoes etc but this time we go, hope to spend longer in there as there are such bargains!
What nice food/drinks have you bought there and should I try?
Thanks
Sarah

TBH the only food i get at walmart is the stuff you could get anywhere, I prefer Publix and Super Target for their fresh food it is a lot nicer IMHO

I agree Walmart is ok for food items especially the dry goods but Target and Publix just can't be beaten for the fresh items, such as Publix Deli Chicken in a box!

We get snacks from Walmart, but as others say there is better fresh food elsewhere.

Wallmarts BBQ chicken strips in a box by weight are fantastic to have on own or in a salad relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine:grin:

We thought Walmart's muffins were superb. They were doing a box of 4 huge muffins for 99c last time we were there. We ended up having them for lunch!:)

They had the best cheesecake ever, you get 12 slices but 4 different varieties so there's something to please everyone!

We bought a lot of their soft drinks and pizzas / snacks for the room. Tremendous value and will be the first place we visit next year before the hotel to stock up.

usually do all our food shopping at walmart, where else can you buy 24 bottles of water for $5. also they do sugar free gatorade type individual sachets for adding to the water., ideal for dh who is diabetic. for takeaway coffee it has to be 7/11 who do the miost delicious blueberry/vanilla coffee!

I love wamart , we usually go to the one on 192 by medieval times , the food is great , and the vfm is too, fresh frozen dairy etc its all good, this particular store is a bit of a supercenter so it sells clothes toys electrics, novelties , cd,s etc etc and has a mcdonalds in it too, all top brands too , and own brands.
the fresh donuts are great , the key lime pie is brill too.
publix etc , not fussy, imo
try the dr thunder, if you like dr pepper ,mmmmmmmmmmmmm, walmarts own brand equivalent ,
:thumbs-up

Luckily we were on the 27 last year and Publix was the closer of the supermarkets (my fav) it wasn't much further to Walmart.
This year we have a villa closer to Walmart but it won't stop us popping down to Publix either. :)

Cheesecake - 12 portion - 4 flavour
Buy 2 - ones never enough.
We (I really mean I) get through 3 of these in 2 weeks

Allways use Publix for food, itrs very good.
The food never looks that good in Walmart but can't fault them for everything else.

As some have said, not a huge fan of walmart for food, always seems slightly grubby and disorganised to me! Much prefer Publix, Target or my particular favourite Albertsons.

Preferred Publix for fresh stuff, but Walmart is excellent for bulk packs of water/soft drinks etc.
We also got some nice pizzas and ice cream there.
Check out the wine section too - we found a lovely E & J Gallo White Zinfandel that was ridiculously priced at under £2, so my fridge was well stocked with that. Wish I could have brought a case home....!!

Have to agree Publix was best for foods, but the Wal-mart expereience is a must, especcially if you need a new tyre for your car !!!!!!!!!! :-))))))))))
