Hi all,Am looking to get my park tickets before the universal free kids offer finishes and am shopping around for 7 day premium disney ones too,
I`ve found a good price at Mercurytravel (saw them advertised on here!!) but wondered if anyone had got ATD to price match them?
I know ATD have a few rules about who`ll they`ll price match but i was wondering whether anyone had an idea of who they will and who they won`t match??
Thought i`d go with ATD as they have a great reputation and will get the free pack.
Its not a huge saving but from £912.00 (3 ad 2 kids disney 7 day premium & universal 2 + 3rd day free + free kids )
to mercurys £859.00 it all adds up!!

You can alway give them a call.As long as they can see the prices on the other site they will match.
I got them to do ours against themepark tickets but the woman at ATD said as it was a price match i didnt qualify for the free goody bag.:wavey:

I didnt get the goody bag because they price matched. Said it was because of the cost involved with producing the kit.

Whats in the goodie bag?:)
I've just come off the phone with ATD after ordering 21 day Disney tickets for this August. They price matched with Theme Park Tickets Direct so I've got them for £170 / £147. I am a very happy (but skint!) bunny at the moment!
Looking forward to the postmans knock to get my hands on them ... and the tickets :tounge:
If you have already found a good price why would you want to then get another company to Price Match it? maybe to beat it, but not price match it!!!
I can probably understand getting a known company to price match an unknown company but to price match between known Advertisers here on the DIBB just seems like a pointless exercise - it's probably cost you more for the additional phone call :)
You may aswell buy from the original company.
I think this price matching is really bad news for us customers. If the bigger companies do this and the smaller companies go out of business there is less competition and the bigger companies will be free to charge what they want.

Point taken but when I'm spending £3 short of a £1K I woukd rather use a company that I've had dealings with in the past and that others speak highly of. Besides, ATD will send the tickets out this week meaning I won't have the worry / concern of waiting until a couple of days before we travel for them to arrive as I may ha I bought them from Theme Park Tickets Direct.
Better the devil you know...

Hi,
We bought our Universal tickets directly from them last year as they offered the best deal. We booked them on line and then went to the automated booths in the park and cut out the massive queues going through the ticket booths. They were really easy to use and even better than that, we got into the park a lot quicker.

That is a great point Stu - I am sure I wasn't the only one unaware that Mercury are also a Dibb sponsor - I knew ATD were - perhaps others are not aware there are more than 1 ticket outlet who are Dibb sponsors?

I bought mine from Theme park tickets direct last year before I even joined the Dibb - and they were the best price I could find on the net and I can assure you I searched through loads - no goodie bag then though!! :(
I'd have no problem in using them again!!

i think in my original post i had got myself fired up about finding the best price and then getting atd to price match -who the best price came from had become irrelevant as long as atd could match it!! It was a sudden thought about 2 in the morning of....hold on-mercury are Dibb sponsers -why don`t i just get them from them anyway ,if the goodie bag doesn`t come with a price match then i think i`ll go with mercury ,
The stupid thing is i didn`t click about the Dibb sponsership even though i got the web address from the ad banner on here!!got a bit carried away i think!

I think you stick with what you know. We always shop around and then go to ATD. Service has always been superb. I'm sure other suppliers are as good but i don't see as i would change until i hear of someone having a bad experience with ATD.
