hi can anybody recomend me a good digital camera. i really dont want to spend more than about £130 as we only really use it for holiday snaps. we bought a practica one last year for about £80 in the sales which really was a false economy as the quality of the photos is awful. all advise would be gratefully accepted. ty:confused2

looking for something thats very easy to use, i dont do complicated. and basically as long as it takes good clear pictures im happy. would prefer one with a optical viewfinder (think thats wot they are called) rather than lining the photo up on the screen.

Most of these will give you that option. Best suggestion is to go into Jessops, Currys.digita etc and try them out. Find a camera that does what you need and that you feel happy with. Then come home and use pricerunner or another price comparision website and find the best price for you from a e-tailer that you trust.

i have a fuji f10, so does essexmickey, we both have said they are brilliant, there is probably an updated version now as it is about 18 months old, but for low lighting needed in disney for rides etc. when you need to turn the flash of it is perfect.

I have a panasonic lumix FX01, I cant' recommend it highly enough - it fits in my pocket, it takes fab photos, i love it.

i got mine from Amazon and it was more than £130, but there are some on Ebay for that price, or Panasonic do some cheaper models.

Fuji for me too, got two and they are idiot proof, not that I'm saying you are one lol. I'm not that technically minded and they are really easy to use. I've just got the A600 and it's great.

Just been and bought the Fuji S5700 for next year, we have a small waterproof camera which we took last year and although the pictures were fine and it did the job I wanted a proper camera. Hopefully no fuzzy animals next year!!!:d: :d:

ASDA are currently doing the Fuji S5600 for a frankly silly £109 :omg: It's a fantastic camera - kind of halfway between a compact and a digital SLR. Great build, superb pictures and a 10x optical zoom, which you won't find on a compact. Check out http://www.flickr.com/ and do a search for 's5600' to see the quality of the images it can produce.

Fuji again for me. I have the F10 and love it. The F series are better than the V series apparently.

S5600 is a gorgeous camera. Only downside is it is fairly large. If you are carrying a bag of stuff anyway, you'll probably not notice it. If you are travelling light around a park you probably will.

My personal choice is to have a smaller camera and accept the compromises that come with it.

Pentax Optio S7, very small camera which uses its own built in
rechargeable battery. Very good clear images and very easy to use.
The Pentax Optio S7 is £99 at E-buyer which will leave you with plenty of money for a memory card to put all those photos on.

or £229 at Jessops!

It really is a fantastic camera for £99

good luck with your new camara when it comes. Hope you will both be very happy together.
I have a canon Eos 400d and love taking pictures. Making memories makes the holiday for me. So now you have an excuse to buy a nice disney photo album.

My top tip is as soon as you come home try to make up you album with in 2 weeks.
Else you will probably never do it and it will end up being another disk in the back of a cupboard somewhere. Disney doesnt deserve that imho :D
