Hello
I borrowed a WDW DVD off a friend and saw this princess makeover (which i was practically screaming :spin: with excitement as this would make my little girl's holiday). well i gave the DVD back and I forgot to note the name of this makeover and if i would have to make a reservation . Has anyone had this done for their kids. If so what was it like? It was in the magic kingdom I think. If you have had this experience do you know if they do boys dress up as i have a potential Jack Sparrow who would also love this!! OOh and is it expensive
Thanks :pd

I think you are talking about Bibbiti bobbiti boutique, it's downtown disney. My dd 6 did it in feb this year. Yes you do need to book, before you go. i didn't ring up until we got to Florida and nearly had a very disappointed dd!:( I had to keep ringing up for cancellations and took the first one they offered me.
They offer 3 packages the top one being the castle package, what includes hair,make-up,nails,outfit and a photo package, this is what my dd did and cost $175+tax. Crown package is $45+tax and is hair,make-up and nails. The Coach package is £35+tax is hair & make up.
They do boys hair and put glitter, gel, etc in it.
It's great my dd loved all the attention she got, the cast make their 'princess' feel so special!:thumbs-up
There are other threads on the forum if you look up bibbiti bobbiti boutique.
Hope this helps!

I booked the crown package for my two DD's today. I called up and got the exact time and date I wanted with no problem.
You need a credit card for the reservation. They don't take any money but if you fail to show up they take $10 per person.
Enjoy!!!

I too tried for February while we was there and didn't manage to get an appointment so I am planning to book for our next holiday in July 07.
Thanks for the point about the credit card as I am planning to meet up with friends so our daughters can go together and I was going to book us all together but two of the girls are 10 and are unsure if they want to do it or not.

Hi dacruz27
If you look in Beyond the Parks threads you will see some good photos and opinions on BBB. My DD got the castle package last year and it was well worth $175. We are going again in Sept and she has asked if she can have another one. She will be 9 then. I don't think little girls grow out of princesses very quickly.

Thanks Vicki, I didn't know the BBB was available to book 180 days out, I thought they were only 90. I'd better get on the phone and book for my DD for 29th Sept then. See you there maybe! :)

I don't want to upset anyone when I say this, but we went past the 'salon' at DTD, and to be honest the sight of little girls being made up, and having fingernails done etc looked a bit freaky. It just didn't look 'right' on little girls - all that make-up. :( This is just my own opinion, and as I said before I don't wish to upset anyone.

My partners little girl had her hair, makeup, and fingernails done. She loved every minute of it. Little tip for you, buy the princess of choice outfit a day or two before and have her wear that to the boutique.
We didn't know about this until the last day, but there is a special photo booth. Make sure to ask where to go to have the photo's taken, we missed out :(

My little girl 6 had the whole package done, the make up was very subtle and looked natural, she loved every minute of her experience and we videoed it!
If you get your outfit from the boutique you go into the changing room with the dress, shoes, tiara, wand etc all laid out for the 'princess' to change into. i wouldn't advise to buy the outfit a few days before if you are going to buy it from disney as you don't save any money and you get the photo's included in the castle package.
Agreed with the outfit buying tips. If you just want a dress, then yes you should get it in advance (we did, as my DD wanted to wear it for her birthday character breakfast in the castle). However if you plan to buy a deluxe dress, and various accessories, then they will cost you far more to buy them as seperate items in WDW than to do the package.
Looks like Jules will be yet another DIBBer staying at Port Orleans Riverside at the start of October - we'll end up with a special DIBB wing at one of the Mansion Buildings at this rate! :)

I'd upgrade in advance if I were you.

We are hopefully booking the Crown package for DD. We were going to book the Castle package but heard that the dresses bought at the park are a bit 'scratchy' and it was better to buy them here in the Disney store. Anyway, got one last weekend. There were all reduced from £35.00 to £17.49! Bargain - Happy Days
