Folks

Just about to order my tickets (2 day 3rd day free) for Universal / IOA. Would people recommend delivery to home or park pick up? Is the pick up a painless process or is it best to have your tickets to hand to avoid crowds?

Cheers ;)

It depends on who you are buying your tickets from i suppose.

Meaning I got mine through TCD so they will post them out along with my Disney Ultimate passes. I dont get the choic of post or pick up.

I would rather have mine before i go to save hassle at the parks but the prob is, is it actual tickets you are being sent or a voucher ? TCD is sending me vouchers and i have to exchange them for a real ticket at the gate before i can enter a park. So i still have to queue in my first morning.

If your ordering from Universal site and are offered real tickets i would get them delivered to avoid queuing at the gate. Im waiting on an AP from Disney coming through but they are sending a voucher that i need to go exchange once i arrive aswell.

I would have them delivered to your house as you may end up in a queue at Universal

When we buy tickets direct from Universal we opt for will-call, you swipe your credit card and enter the confirmation number and the machines print out your tickets. As I see it that's one less set of tickets to lose before you get there and the process doesn't hold you up at all as the machines are outside the gate so you can access them before the park opens.

Only once, with an AP did I have a problem with the machine not accepting my card and had to go to Guest Services, but that only took a few minutes.

We've just ordered our Universal & IOA tickets direct from Universal.

Currently selling 7 consecutive days for $86 each. Our tickets were for 3 adults & 1 kid working out at £185, using electronic pick-up. This system is a doddle to use.

I have used pick up twice before. There were plenty of machines free and it took just a couple of minutes. No problem at all, and I'd do it again.
