I have some friends going on their first trip to WDW this summer. They are staying on I-Drive and are not really planners :erm: They want to go to Disney but are not sure when or for how long and they also want to go to Universal.

Is it worth them buying tickets before they go or just get them on the gate when they get there? I know they could buy a 14 day ultimate ticket but what if they only go to the 4 main parks once (which might be a possibility) would it be cheaper for them to just pay as they go?

Regarding the tickets try http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/

Never had any problems. Their office leave's a little to be desired, being just a reception at a motel. But the premises is on 192 about a half mile from Medieval Times and tickets can be ordered and picked-up or simply bought on the day you arrive. On a couple of occasions we simply drove from Orlando International to Mapleleaf then back up to Saratoga Springs. Internet advanced booking of tickets is always cheaper than paying on the gate.

Regarding when to go and what to see, well it's a big internet and everybody has an opinion. Just trawl around and get a feel for what you might like and then re-post for some more targeted help and opinion

There are a few kiosks on 192 that seemed to re-sell tickets, never used them but spoke to someone who did and they bought a 4 day hopper for $65.00, excellent value and they worked fine. Just be wary that some ticket sellers lump a whole days tour of a timeshare as a condition of getting them :-((((((((

Can promise you this isn't the case with Mapleleaf. Just a one man operation behind a desk, nothing special except the prices
