Ok I am blonde, and sometimes ask Blonde Questions!!

When you go on the seaworld site it shows kids splashing about in a pool. So my question is do I need to take my DD costume and some spare clothes or is there no pool in Orlando and that image is of another park.

TBH I'm not sure where the image is from - probably poetic licence. There isn't a pool but there is a kiddies play area where she may/can get wet along with some fountains to splash in (similar to DTD) so it may be useful.

Thanks for that, I wondered if it was poetic licence, didn't want to promise her a swim and get there and there be no pool - otherwise I would be in trouble!

I haven't visited the new kiddies play area though as mine are all grown up (although only physically), so bear that in mind there maybe someone with very young children who has and seen somthing new - hopefully someone else can confirm.

Hi, Jill you are quite right there is no pool there. The new kiddies area is great but as far as water is concerned there is still just the fountains coming out of the floor and various buckets etc....

It would be wise to take a change of clothes or swim stuff if you don't mind her getting wet as those fountains really kick out a lot of water! :pgig:

There's no pool, but take her costume! My 2 were 10 & 8 last year, and they absolutely loved splashing around in the variuos sprinklers and water buckets, she'll have a great time!!:spin: But she will need to change back into her clothes, my 2 got preety cold, and where glad to change back!!:wavey:

Dont forget Anheuser-Busch own Seaworld, and they also own several other parks and at least one on them is a water park in Tampa

The last time we went to SW (Feb '05) we deliberately took costumes on our 2nd vist. There was (still is) a big play area behind Shamu stadium called Shamus Happy Harbour (http://www.4adventure.com/SWF/ama_shamus_happy_harbor.aspx). This had a big ship and set of tunnels / climbing frame that are all water bound.

My kids got absolutely soaked on the first visit when we didn't have towels or a clothes change ... but they had a whale of a time (geddit?!) in there. I would recommend taking a costume, towel and clothes change - on a hot day there is nothing like cooling down in water!

As Gaz says Anheuser-Busch own other parks. Florida parks owned by them are Seaworld, Discovery Cove, Bushch Gardens and Adventure Island(water park). Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are near each other in Tampa.

The link shows Adventure Island, but if you use the drop down box(bottom left) it will take you to the other parks.
