New Forum

Hi,
I have added a new forum called Food & Restaurant Reports (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130)
This forum is located as a sub-forum of the 'Food Snacks & Dining' forum

The purpose of this new forum is similar to the Trip Reports but for Food and Restaurants.

You will see we have moved some posts into the forum already to give you an idea of what the forum should be used for.

Our hope is that eventually we can create some indexes that will allow members to search and read reports on individual parks, areas or a particular restaurant.

Can I ask that you treat this forum in the same way as the Trip Reports. So only start threads that are reports on food, dining experiences or restaurants.

Just a quick question Stu, does this mean that as, in my reports I put the DDP/restaurant review and pics at the end - I would be better splitting future meal reports off and into this forum??

Hi Sue,
You can do either, doing seperate Food Reports is a good idea as members can see what to expect from the various dining experiences. However if you want to keep it all in your main trip report, that is fine too.

We have copied a couple of your reports that have been created as seperate posts within your trip reports. This way the comments on the trip report are still valid but you also have visibility in the new forum.

It is personal choice and I don't want to dictate how members should write their reports as I'm just happy that you all write reports :)

The way I would do it is to write the trip report in Trip Reports and put the Food reports in the new forum then link to the food reports in the actual trip report.
Or create the trip report including food bits then create another thread in food reports. If the food bits in the trip report is in a seperate post then it could just be copied.

But as I said above it's great that members take the time to actually write reports, so the last thing I would want to do is make it harder, which is why I'll leave it to members to decide if they want to seperate their reports.
