Hi,
Im looking to book soon for Aug 08, there will be 2 adults and 3 kids (two 12 yr olds and one 2 yr old). Becuase of the age difference of the kids we would realy like a suite. We would also like to be within walking distance of restaurants. Looking at TCD the Hawthorne would meet our needs but just wondering if anyone can give us any advice ?
Many thanks in advance
Zoe

I'd be interested in any views as we are hoping to go next August too.

Zoe - it is in a great location - we stayed at the Embassy Suites last year and this is even closer to Crossroads and DTD. It used to take us about 5 minutes in the car to get to DTD. Loads of restaurants close by too that are great eg Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze

Zoe, Matt,

We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites in August 2005. We had a 2 roomed suite on the 3rd floor and we thought it was excellent. The staff were friendly.

Its close to Crossroads LBV, and not far from DTD, but I wouldn't like to walk it - certainly not in that heat. TBH I'm not even sure there are suitable footpaths along Palm Parkway.

It's in a pretty quiet location - it was more or less the last building on one side of Palm Parkway, for miles, when we were there, but I'll bet theres more buildings there now!

We would be more than happy to stay there again - if you'd like any more info just ask.

Thanks Alex for the info. It looks a great deal and we love the suite hotels as it gives us more space but we are still close to the action
