Clearwater Accommodation?

Hi. were off to florida in June and staying at the Bahama Bay Resort. However we would like to stay at Clearwater / St Petersburg for one night. Any tips on accommodation please?

I't not stayed in St Petes for years but in Clearwater my favourite is the Sheraton Sand Key or I have heard very good reports about the Marriott

We stayed in the Marriott and it was lovely. Sheraton is probably better for location though
