All you need to do is check that the camcorders are pal compatible. Most of the dealers over there only stock pal compatible ones anyway because its big business for them. Don`t forget to haggle too!! they will move on price if you ask.....

And check prices over here first. Comapre Amazon, Jessops, Dixons etc with target, Best Buy etc over there. It may not be cheaper over there

Be sensible and use only well known and respected retailer !!!!!!!!!!

There are an awful lot of cowboy sellers there, ask your hotel reception, villa management etc for reputable places.

Things to take into account..

You will probably get stung for import duty when you bring it back.
The warranty may not cover you back at home.
It may not be compatible with the U.K. Television system (PAL as mentioned earlier)
Even if you have an NTSC Capable telly, the quality and resolution is not as good as PAL.
You only have a certain time to get used to the controls.
If you dont buy it on Day 1 of your holidays, you may miss something you wanted to video.
You cant video the packing, the travelling, the airport etc... (may seem a bit dull, but always sets up the holiday video I find)

At the end of the day however, its down to you...
