Hi

Think this will be moved shortly to the Theme Park Forum but I will answer anyway.

You will get very mixed opinions about water parks, Disneys Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are usually the favoured parks on here but in my opinion Wet N Wild is the better park.

Lots more thrill rides and exactly what I want from a water park, I was not impressed with the 2 Disney parks.

As i said though you will get lots of differing opinions.

Ticket wise - you can pay at the gates but tickets are the cheaper option. Wet n Wild comes into the Orlando FLexTicket. The Disney water parks are included uin the Disney Magic tickets.

All 3 are different in different ways. W n W does has more thrill rides but you are more "hemmed in" here and it maybe does need a re-furb. TL and BB are prettier parks and of course have the disney theme but we find the rides at these fairly "tame". At the end of the day it's personel choice. And it depends on the age of the kids etc;

I personally think wet and wild is a typical uk water park, nothing special apart from the rides, and a lazy river that takes you about 2 minutes to get around. Blizzard Beach has excellent theming, is huge! The lazy river is long as well, takes you at least 15 minutes to get around, thats guessing though is probably longer, unless you are a a major water ride fan go to blizzard beach! Which I must say has some great water rides as well!

I find wet n wild a bit of a concrete jungle, but it does have some of the best white knuckle water slides :)
2nd choice is blizzard beach i find it has more rides than typhoon lagoon, but i also like to chill on the sand and love crush n gusher and the wave pool at typhoon lagoon.
We make sure we always do all 3 anyway as there all different :)

Of the 3 in Orlando, we prefer Typhoon Lagoon. The others are good, but my kids really enjoyed TL more than the others ... and if they're happy so are we!

If you can try as many as possible, its a long way to go so make the most of it.
If I had to chose one it would be Typhon Lagoon as I think it has the best combination of theming, rides and pool.

Cannot understand myself why anyone would be unimpressed with the Disney water parks!
The theming is fantastic, beautifully clean, superb thrill rides - Crush and Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon and the huge slides and raft ride at Blizzard Beach.
There are also lots of gentler things to do at both of these and the lazy rivers can take you an hour to get round with new things to see each time.

Went to Wet and Wild once, yes it has some good rides BUT (IMHO of course) it is a grubby, concrete and steel jungle with absolutely no shade.
Also, being on I Drive - there have been reports of people seeing undesirable types hanging around (outside) and I felt the locker and food/drink areas were very poor in comparison to the Disney parks.

Read everyone's opinion, but I wouldn't go to Wet and Wild again if it was free entry.

In that case Maggie, please don't go to Wet and Wild, not a lot to see, whereas at Typhoon Lagoon your party can get near the pool with the wave machine in, beautiful surroundings and you can watch them have fun too - not as possible at W&W.

Hi Maggie,

I would really suggest Typhoon Lagoon for you then.

Nice beach area and loungers for you to sit back and watch the world go by.

A nice mixture of some rides and a chill out day.

Have a great time.

Been to FL & Orlando 7 times in all the trips only W & W once

It was great day out and I would recommend evey one to do it once as the rides are full on , I didnt know my swimming shorts could go up so far !!!!

But I agree for a great all round day the Disney parks cannot be beaten .
TL being our favourite

We liked Typhoon Lagoon best as a family. Wnet three times last visit!

I've never liked the look of W&W - all concrete & rusty. We normally buy the Orlando Flex ticket that includes access to W&W - but never use it as Typhoon Lagoon is fantastic.

Great beach for lounging, great wavepool for swimming & all the other flume & water rides you need.
