A long time ago there was a thread that you could use to get disney goods in the UK. Unfortunately a trip to WDW is not possible at present (sob:cry: ) so I would like to console myself with a couple of new disney:mickey2:, pooh :tigger: type T shirts as mine are getting a little worn. Can anyone recommend any sites I can use that are reliable please. Just had a 2 week spell in hospital so feeling in need of a good cheer up.
Thanks Sheeps
You could always email WDW directly at wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com. Otherwise, there are lots of shopping sites which will buy from WDW and then sell on to customers, but they can sometimes be a little pricey. Mind you, so can Disney with their overseas shipping rates!

:wavey: :wavey: try the uk disney store website as we have just had some t-shirts in store
Hmm, guess I should have suggested that too. I don't get to see much of our stock, except for in boxes going past on lorries. :)

Great thanks guys I knew you'd come up trumps! Well I've enjoyed a spot of shopping but before I put it through can anyone tell me if I'll get stung by imprt duty, tax or anything of that nature from a USA site. Even considering the postage its not too bad a price and I get exactly what I want unlike the UK version. Just want to check for any nasty shocks before I press that button that says order!

Orders over £18.00 (not including shipping) are subject to import duty. Last time I had to pay it was £4 for clearance plus duty/VAT. Some people will mark packages as 'gift' so you can avoid it but this is illegal and I can't imagine Disney would do it!

Dh buys lots of stuff from U.S online/from mail order etc, only had 2 parcels stopped and a charge levied by customs and that's without them being marked as a gift

Our local Disney store shut down last year and the one at the metro centre is rubbish. Full of girls clothes and plastic tat. Where have all the snowglobes and lovely boys stuff gone.

Have placed my order. $87 for 4 T shirts and an Eeyore jacket so at my calculations even if I get stung by VAT and customs its cheaper than what I'd get in the UK. With a quick check that looks to be about £43 if I dont get stung. Oooh I feel a bit excited! Now I'll be watching for that postie.
And the sad part is all I could find on UK sites were kiddie or tiny T ladies fitted T shirts and the worst bit no eeyore in sight for the UK.
Where did you order from by the way?

Out of interest, how did they describe what items they currently have on sale at the parks - did you get to see any photos, for example? I've always found WDW Mail Order great if you want something specific that you forgot to buy while visiting WDW (which is what they're there for, of course) but hard for impulse purchases!

Yes there were some really good pictures you can zoom in on to look at detail although most was similar to what I'd looked at in the past so I also had a good idea. Also was very pleased to find outlet stuff and sale things which meant I could purchase a bit extra.

Really? Could you give me the link to where you saw the piccies? Cheers.

Try this as a starting point. As you go through click on individual item then there is an opportunity to zoom in further. http://home.disney.go.com/shopping/index?CMP=OTL-DcomMicro&att=MicroChrmShpTb

Ah, that explains it. That's the Disney Shopping site (ex Disney Direct, it's the bit that Disney kept when they sold off the US Disney Stores chain). I thought you'd found a Disney-run WDW shopping site! (There are some third party ones around, but nothing run by WDW).

:wavey: if you buy stuff from that site you also have a separate DHL bill for customs charges

Just discovered the separate bill with the courier and clearly hadnt calculated the amount right either however still not a bad price in total.
