Hi Y'all
Thanks for the welcome note. This is our fourth visit to W.D.W and we are taking some friends with us this time around and we have decided to do a clearwater beach day. I have tried looking on websites to find out if there are any water-ski hire places at that beach but I have come up with zero information. Any ideas? We have booked the Mickeys Backyard BBQ which is a brilliant night out and also the Balloon ride over W.D.W followed by a champagne breakfast whooopeee.

In October 2001, me and my Mum did the waterskiing at Dave's Ski School - It was great fun, and wasn't expensive either! :D
Here's the website: http://www.bvwatersports.com/ski_school.htm

Hmm, quite fancy a bit of that myself actually, currently teaching my DG to swim, in preparation for all the waterparks etc when we go out in November, and this seems to be a natural progression for her next step..

Fine idea !! :D

LDR,
you'll love Dave's Ski School at Emma's link above.
Dave has a special technique. He has a double width ski and you stand on his ski while he takes you around eventually as you become more confident he slides his ski from beneath yours and your skiing :D if you start to falter he just slides his ski back.

Both DW and Emma were skiing on their own after the first lap of the lake.

Its not a problem for me, I learned to water ski about 20 years ago with my brother when he had a speedboat of his own..its for Kirsty, who is not very confident swimming in the water at the moment , although she is progressing slowly..I told her she has to swim in order to enjoy the waterparks without being nervous, so as a reward Im going to book some waterski lessons for her.. (Her response about it being a reward was, Im afraid, unprintable on a family board such as this) :D
