We will see you there ;)

I would do as little as possible on the day that you are going to do MNSSHP. You can enter the park on your MNSSHP ticket anywhere from 4pm, it's a long day/night.
Just chill by the pool or some light shopping.

Have a great wedding.

it is hard enough planning a holiday, let alone a wedding too. We might have a pool day that day and let the kids sleep in the afternoon. Thinking of getting ds a Peter Pan costume to dress up in for MNSSHP night.

I think that sounds like a plan Clare. A costume is a must for the little ones;)

Forgot to add a couple of shows at the night and have decided to have a lazy morning on 21st then go to MK. Dp is going to try to get Ella in BBB for a princess makeover before we go to MNSSHP at night.

There are only me, dd, my brother and his girlfriend going to MNSSHP. I suppose it is their loss. Dp (DH by then) said that he will be far too tired if he goes. We will have loads of fun!

If he changes his mind Clare, you might be able to buy tickets for MNSSHP at the gate:) If not like you say, you will have fun:thumbs-up

We have managed to split the kids with dp parents and mine so we can enjoy the rides on the day after the wedding (Sat) at IOA and US. This means that we have to do US another day so that we can see Scooby Doo and the gang. I'm thinking of maybe doing it on the 20th instead of Seaworld again. What do you think?

What does anyone think of spending a couple of nights at a Disney hotel as a special treat, with kids of course. Where should I look at?

Michelle
23 Jun 07, 09:32 AM
That's a lovely idea Clare, I love splitting stays. What is your budget?
Do you have a Annual Pass for WDW? as the AP rates have just been announced for Aug/Sept. See this thread for hotels available and prices
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=105572 It's the last post #13 that you need to look at.

Good Luck choosing :D:D

No AP so I will prob have to pay top whack!

I'm still trying to persuade dp who thinks that it would be a waste of money. I have read a couple of bad reviews about Animal Kingdom so that has put me off slightly. I was thinking about Wilderness Lodge or Port Orleans FQ. They seem to be coming up at around the £200 mark for 2 nights. I know it is a lot to pay but you only get married there once! I think that the kids will love it. If I do book it do you think we would catch free ddp?

Michelle

Hi Clare

I am not sure about the free dining, I thought you had to be staying at a certain hotel, maybe I am wrong. Also you will have to book via the US website:)
If that price above is for either WL or POFQ, I would go for the WL. The rooms have been refurubished recently, you are close to MK.
Good Luck in persuading your DBF, show him some photos of the WL I am sure he will come around:D

I think you have to book tickets with them as well to get free dining. Oh poo!
I think he may be coming round to the idea as I said we could stay later in the parks and see the fireworks at night.

It will just be a case or changing the day on our itinerary around so we do Disney on the days we are staying at the resort. I will keep you posted!

I would DEFINATELY do as little as possible during the day - I made the fatal mistake of going to MK in the morning and then going back to the party after a break of a couple of hours for lunch and we were absolutely knackered by 9pm! It's especially hard on the kiddiwinks.

Speaking of the kiddos - how about making a booking for DD to have a makeover by the lovely fairy godmothers in training at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique (there's one at the castle in MK and one at DTD) in preparation for the party - I'm sure she'd go nuts over that! We're doing it for my 3 yo - she keeps asking me when we're gonna do it and we're not going til December!

Ah... just noticed you already mentioned BBB! I really should read the whole thread before posting!

Did you manage to get her an appointment?

I'm getting dh to ring tonight in case they take a deposit or something like that. Trouble is, dh's neice is going with dh's parents. They didn't let me know if they were going to MNSSHP so I didn't get them any tickets. Do you think they will kick off if dd has a makeover & goes to party but her cousin has only the makeover?

They don't take a deposit, they just ask for a credit/debit card number so if you don't show up they charge you $10.

I think that your neice may be a little miffed if she doesn't get to go.
If I were you I'd speak to them and ask them if they want to go - If they do then give them the date of the party that you got tickets for and the phone number and get them to order their tickets themselves. After all you have enough planning to do what with the wedding an' all! I'm sure they won't mind booking their own tickets - it only takes a quick phone call.

Let us know how you get on :D

We have done it we booked the Princess Makeover for both of them. They are having it on the 19th Sept when we will be there for ds 1st birthday. I thought that it would be special for them to be all made up for our meal at Crystal Palace. Dp has to book the cake now.

I have told dp if his parents what to take his niece then they can book tickets themselves.
Dp is still not coming so I'm taking dd, we are going with my brother and his girlfriend. I just know that when we say we are going his niece will want to to go as well. I'm not taking both, they are a handful together.

It is getting closer now, I can't wait!

Have swapped AK with MGM as dd is fanatical about High School Musical. I think we should be able to cram everything in.

I really wanted to go horse riding sometime after the wedding buy I don't think we will be able to fit it in!
