I have been reading loads of threads about mnsshp. We are going for our first holiday to orlando in october this year and quite fancy this mnsshp.
But........ What actually happens???? It seems quite alot of money (about £75 for a family of 4).
I assume that with my 14 day ultimate pass that I can't get into MK on the nights the mnsshp is on.
I would appreciate some advice before I go and purchase tickets please.
Many thanks in advance
Marion

Since numbers of guests are limited by the sale of tickets for MNSSHP the park won't be busy. The park closes early and daytime guests have to leave around 5pm on party nights. There were really no lines for any attractions on the night we went last year.
There is a special Halloween parade and Hallowishes fireworks which you can't see at any other time.
Characters wear Halloween costumes, which you won't see in the daytime and the Disney villains are out in force.
There is tons of candy! We thought it was well worth the money and would go again.

The atmosphere was brilliant and it made our holiday for all of us last year. Even my eldest DD, a teenager, was happy to dress up and is begging to go back next year- even me and my DH did trick or treating and the limited numbers after a few days of queuing was good too.

We hadn't planned on going - we are going around a similar time to you. But, I had a change of heart, after hearing/reading so many good things about it, so I booked tickets late Wednesday over the internet and got them today! Now I am even more excited about going - I know it is another extra cost, but we have booked it for the end of the holiday to cheer us up, as I am sure we will be pretty sad about coming home!!:wavey:
we went last year and agree with what everyone has said, fantastic night, most rides were walk on or 5/10 min queue. The parade and fireworks were amazing, DD got dressed up and loved it. We got an unbelievable amount of sweets - highly recommend going if you can.

It's completely different to a normal night in the park - the rides are open but to be honest we didn't do many rides - there were characters everywhere, and special shows, and spooky stories being told. It was a really brilliant night, very much a party atmosphere.

You lot are a bad influence! ;)
After reading all the great things about it on here, I went home last night and booked over the phone for 11th October. Looks like great fun, why won't my countdown go faster?
Do quite a lot of adults dress up as well as the kids?

Lots of the adults make more effort than some!
The only thing I've been advised is that Disney are not keen on anyone looking too "horrific" - fake blood and fake knives sticking out etc

Hi Marion (fellow fifer!)
MNSSHP is an absolutely brilliant night. My girls, aged 11 and 7 at the time, had a ball. They dressed up as Jasmine and Cinderella and had their faces painted in Toon Town.
Because there are only so many tickets sold most rides are a walk-on.
The amount of candy that we got was amazing,we brought most of it home and I used it for the guisers at Hallowe'en!!
Well worth the ticket money,my two want to do it again this year.
Cheers
