Sheikra Just Got Scarier by from June the floor will be taken out!

SheiKra’s cars will continue to seat eight passengers across, three rows deep, but riders will no longer be able to brace themselves for Florida’s No. 1 thrill ride against the floor of the car. With the front rail gone, passengers in the first row, especially, will be completely exposed as they come over the crest of SheiKra’s signature 200-foot, 90-degree plunge.

Thanks Nipster for the pics but I still don't get it -

You don't use the bar to put your feet on, I didn't notice it in the way when I rode Sheikra last year and your feet don't touch the floor anyway. So whats the point?

Even in it's old form, it was/is my favorite ride of all time, it's got it all!

It's WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to short! Add another couple of circuits and it would be great. I don't think the floor/bar removal will make a lot of difference because as RuddClann said you don't really notice them. I cannot wait to take my 14yr old grand-son on there in August. I will try and get him in the front row so that when we reach the top of the climb and stop he is looking straight down:grin::grin::grin:

Sorry guys, didn't mean it to sound like I was moaning, it just seems like a lot of effort for not a lot of improvement.

Ah well, have to ride it again next year to find out :D
