Just seen this on the Universal Site:

It’s an unforgettable 4th of July celebration featuring Orlando’s most spectacular fireworks display.
Spend your day in the parks, then stay for all the explosive excitement after dark!

Preferred Viewing Area at CityWalk® - $10

Fireworks
Live Music
All-American Cookout Available*
Games
Kids Under 3 FREE!

Has anyone done this, is it worth it and what sort of numbers does the preferred area hold?

Not a huge area , they cordon off the area where the steps are at citywalk and from just below where the Resorts boats dock down to near Lone Palm, they have the cook out and different entertainment on , good place for watching the fireworks,

Is there anything they won't sell for extra dollars!

A few years ago we were over in Orlando for July 4th we were advised to go to Seaworld for the day as it less busy. In the evening they had a firework display which was really good and didn't cost any extra money.
