Last year we never got a chance to go on Space Mountain as it was closed for some reason. But I was just wondering what kind of seats it has? I suffer from neck problems, so I only like to go on rides that have full harnesses with neck rests.

I went on Everest last year and it did hurt my neck because there was no head rest.

That is the only thing that will stop me going on rides though :D

Hun, Space Mountain has a seat belt and thats about it, its very juddery but a brilliant ride. If you do suffer from neck problems I would be a bit wary.
Its a killer for your back sometimes. However, its only a short ride so I dont really know what to say.

I love this ride sooooo much, its old and maybe a bit tame but a classic.

I would hate you to get a problem with your neck, but then again I would hate you to not experience it.

Hope all goes well whatever you decide. x

Space Moutain has a 'T' lap bar and I find it very jerky. No shoulder restraints - I wouldn;t recommend it to somebody with back/neck problems but my DF went on it and was OK

you should give it a miss if you have a neck problem we found it the ride that jerks you about the most, i'm sure it would give you problems

Oh poo :(

Thanks for all your advice. I think If I found Everest bad (due to lack of head restraint), It's clear that It would be sensible to give this a reluctant miss then.

S M is much more juddery than Everest. Great ride but not for someone with neck problems.

What a terrible shame. You can however experience all the inside of Space Mountain and then when you reach the cars for the ride go through the exit so you can experience some of it.

Then just look up and see the coaster (slightly).

Space Mountain can be a pretty uncomfortable ride, definately not for anyone with neck problems.
You can get a look inside the mountain briefly on the TTA ride.

DON'T GO ON IT!!! I have some back probs and went on it in March. I've been on it before with no problems but this time it felt more 'rattley'. It jerked and I felt 'something' move in my spine. Thought nothing of it until later that day went I bent over to pick up a coat hanger in the Tommy Hilfiger shop. Next thing I kew I was on the floor with the most excrutiating pain I have ever experienced. I could hardly move for about a week and now 2 months on I am still suffering major back pain.

I'm NEVER going on it again :confused2!!
