We have been to WDW 3 times and have never been on it! :omg:

The original song was Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. It was replaced with Now Is the Time for a while, until someone realised that it missed the whole point of the ride - i.e. that progress is always moving forward - and if got changed back. But I do like both songs though (both by the Sherman Brothers).

Personally I adore the ride - but then I like anything that is based on extended storytelling concepts (such as Carousel of Progress, Spaceship Earth, American Adventure/Hall of Presidents, the old Horizons and World of Motion, etc) rather than two-minute adrenaline hits with two-hour waits.

Rides like CoP may be a little corny, but at least they're genuine. Watch with your rose tinted spectacles firmly in place on the bridge of your nose.

Have to agree with you .

We love this ride and it's amust do for our family. The "boys" (now 19 and 17 ), remember this ride from when they were aged 8 and 6 years of age.

It was Walts idea and a must for us every year.

I love it!! Know all the words to the song and also love watching the dog as the carousel moves each time as he "notices" the new people!! A classic.

Its a revolving theatre of sorts. You sit in the audience and watch animatonics (sp) tell you what its like in the 1930's, 1960's etc. The seating area moves to a different stage for the next time era, but the same catchy tune stays throughout the show.
(does that make any sense at all?:confused2) I've probably confused you even more now:pgig:

Love it!! But I have noticed that Mrs Flying-Dutchman seems to appreciate it more after a long morning, with her eyes closed??!! Must be the quality of music.. "comfy" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't till our 4th visit that we actually noticed this ride!! Its very well hidden despite it's quite large size! Anyway we rode it and after an initial fit of laughter over it's "cheesiness" we actually enjoyed it! The song got stuck in our heads and it's on a disney cd we bought and we just love playing it :D

Very comfy seats too! ;)
