I've read in the trip reports how people can avoid the long queue's, not the fast passes you get from the machine, I remember seeing people with a card attached to a string round there necks. I think you have to buy them.
Does anyone know what I'm on about.
Julie.
Try and help you out here
Fastpasses are available for FREE in the Disney parks, but you can only get one at a time. So you go to a ride, see the queue is 45 mins, don't want to wait for that, next to that ride are the Fastpass machines with a time posted as to when the fastpass is valid (an hour timespan) - you put park ticket in and get a paper ticket/fastpass back, plus your park ticket back also. At the time on that ticket, you return to that ride, get in the Fastpass queue not the Standby one, hand your fastpass over when asked and enjoy the ride.
During the Year of a Million Dreams, Disney are randomly handing out Dream fastpasses, which is a lanyard and plastic tabs to snap off and hand over as fastpasses. These usually have all the rides in the park, are only valid for that day and worth having on busy days. You cannot buy these, they are given out at random by Disney staff wearing the special YoaMD white waistcoats.
Universal has an Express Pass option that you can purchase at the parks in addition to your park ticket on the day you visit. This is only valid for one ride/attraction per day. If you stay in a Universal hotel, part of the perks is a Front of Line pass, your room key card that allows access to the Express lines as many times as you like for the 2 days per one night stay at the hotel (valid from 9am day you check in, to midnight the day you check out)
Hope that helps?

The cards you mentioned are Dream Fastpasses!
These are being randomly handed out during The Year of A Million Dreams celebrations!

This may sound like a stoopid question, but when will the year of a million dreams end?
Just wondering if we have a chance of DreamPasses in March 2008?
Cheers
