Hi everyone,

This Nov i'm going to orlando for my honeymoon. this will be my first time. i was hoping some one could explain the fast pass system as it seems a little confusing:spin:
This may sound a little daft but the more i read about the parks the more confused i get as to the best approach to tackling them in order to really enjoy our time there.

The fast pass system is available at certain rides/attractions. You put your park pass into the special machine located at the ride and it gives you a ticket with a time to return. Its an hour window, so it might say to come back for example between 1pm and 2pm. You give your fast pass ticket to the cast memeber at the ride and then go to the front down a separate queue. You can't get another fast pass until the other time has expired, in other words you can only have one at once and not get lots in advance. Hope all this makes sense, just get out there and enjoy the experience:)

Fast passes will also have a time on them to tell you when you can get your next fast pass. If your fast pass time to return is 1 -2 you should be able to get a fast pass for another ride at 1.10 before you use the first one.

The Unofficial Guide to WDW contain touring plans for each park. They even have copies of them at the back of the book so that you can cut them out & take them to the park with you. Even if you don't do this it is full of LOTS of information. I got my copy from WH Smiths along with my Brits Guide which I also recommend.. The unofficial was £11.99 & the Brits guide was £13.99

Forgot to say all the best for your honeymoon

Hi :wavey:

If you go on WDW wbsite, you can pick your favourite rides and attractions for each park.

You can then print off each park, with just the rides / attractions that you want to go on.

Makes it easy for making your way round the park and is good to keep as a souvenier.

:D :D :D

Word of warning, we went to a ride in Epcot one day to get a fast pass (it was the Test Track ride) and they weren't issuing any more fast passes that day. I think what happened was, we got there probably around 11am and so many fast passes had been issued, the time slots had reached the end of the day!

So, if there is a particular ride you really want to do, make sure you get there in plenty of time to get a fast pass ticket. If there isn't much of a queue when you go to get a fastpass ticket, just go on the ride instead!

Hi the rides to book early for at Disney are ,

Everest at Animal Kingdom as soon as you get to the park go directly to the ride and get a pass.

Soarin at Epcot, did not even go on that by the time we were there 11- 12 oclock fast passes were already on 6 & 7 oclock.

Just remember once you have used your pass once you are unable to get another fast pass for about another hour or two.

Universal do not do fast passes anymore they rip you off by getting you to buy an express pass which is $26 you use it once on each ride. If you want to do both Islands of Adventure & Universal Studios its aroud $30 plus tax per day.

When you consider how much people pay for there tickets this is a rip off. They do not even limit the number sold so you could end up waiting just as long as the standby line like we did.

The last time we went to Florida in 05 they did do fast passes and by hubby seems to remember I think a dream pass which you did pay for but they limited how many are sold.

Also Disney charge £2 a time for lockers while you are on the ride. There are free ones dotted about which last 1 hour but there are not many. Universal charge 2 quarters for locker rental. Maybe some one has put a list up somewhere on the forum.

I really enjoyed it just got back today. The only downside is we had trouble with out Virgin rep. Enjoy your hols you'll have a great time.
