What do you think?!?!
Looking at next March/April time (3 weeks)
Wanted to do the 'Golden Triangle' but don't fancy the 11 or so hour flight, so thought about going to NY for a couple of nights first, and last, to break it up!!
I've had a quick look at doing it myself (BA return flight from London-NY)
Then internal flights with AA, United Airlines and Delta.
Is this the best way to do it? Or are there any companies out there that can do this?
I'm guessing i've done all the hard work already - searching for flights and sussing what airlines fly where!!
I know hotels will be easy enough to book.
Any info much appreciated!
Thanks

Think its OK.
If it was me I would fly to SF/LA, then LV, then finish in NYC.
The long flight there seems to go quickly due to excitement, but otherwise a stay in NY either end is good.
Looks to me as if you'll be spending double the time flying on your proposed schedule.
We flew Lon-SF. 3 days in SF, a week to drive down California to Santa Monica for 3 days, flew to Vegas for a week, then 3 days in Anaheim before flying home from LAX. Great trip.

We did similar three years ago but only did New York once. We flew London to Los Angeles, drove up the coast and then drove to Las Vegas. We flew from Vegas to New York then New York to London. Booked it all in one go with Opodo and got all flights for £320 - the midweek flights were much cheaper. The flights were with BA and I think the internal flight was AA but that was included in the ticket.
We're doing 3 nights NY, 5 nights Florida and 4 in Las Vegas this Nov/Dec. Used some Virgin Miles for some UCS flights and they also booked some ofthe internals for me and I just logged on to various US carriers (Delta, AA, Continental etc.) to see the best price at a time that suited us and booked it ourselves. Also booked the NY and Grand Floridian oursleves on the net (with the US$ exchange rate, it was far cheaper than using the Virgin brochure - for the same Virgin price of the Jumeriah Essex NY basic room, we got a junior suite, still at $50 cheaper!! Pays to shop around!!
We did London-NYC-Las Vegas-Florida-London March this year, which was fabulous but REALLY exhausting!!!!! I was sick of the sight of planes by the time we arrived home, but it is so worth it. New York was freezing when we were there...it even snowed, but I think that made it even more special. Las Vegas was lovely in March and I would definately go at that time of year again, but watch out for when the NASCAR event is held as it makes Vegas very busy. Also, another tip, if you can, do a helicopter tour of the Canyon with Sundance....out of this world!
