The plan was offered free to UK guests visiting in dates in August and September 2007 for bookings made before November 2006. Somebody else may be able to confirm exact qualifying dates. We are going on 15th Aug and got the free DDP !

I am not sure about the first start date, but know that the last date for arrival getting the free DDP was 29th September. We arrive on the 28th, so just got in there!!! Phew!! They may do a similar offer this year, you should wait until about early August to hear any rumours. Cindersmum another Dibber, is part of Travelcounsellors and is good at hearing the gossip, so she may hear before that.

I know it is something they are using to help get numbers up at WDW after a few hurricane hit August/September years gone by have hit Disney a bit, so they are offering this to attract people again.

It's a little bit more complicated than that. Note that it's already well within the 180 day ADR booking window so it's going to be tough to get many the more desireable restaurants. We were there in April and Le Cellier was fully booked until August, and it gets worse when DDP is free, apparently.

I'm already thinking of going back next year and would love the stay at Disney with the intention of free DDP otherwise I would book offsite.
Do TCD offer this? I thought I read somewhere last year in the paper that they were doing the same deal. If they are I would be straight on the phone!

I know last year the starting date was Aug 12th because we had already booked flights on Aug 9th so we were very relieved that we would be there for the dates!

I emailed Disney, this is what they said:
As you are aware, the Walt Disney World Resort periodically offers
special resort programs as a courtesy to our guests. However, please
know that seasonal resort programs are traditionally only determined and
released one season at a time, and often not until the very end of the
previous season. Special programs are offered on a first-come,
first-served basis and are subject to availability.
