Hi dibbers this is my first post, I would like to know if anyone knows of a good Indian restaraunt to visit in Orlando, we are travelling august 2008 and DW is a fussy eater so it would be good if we could find a restaraunt for her.

How about the Spice Cottage?

Not sure how to get to it from your accomodation though :pgig: :drinkbeer

Spice Cottage sounds like a perfumery.

We had a thread similar to this last week and loads of people said they couldn't find a decent curry house and that the Americans had different tastes to us. So I'm just thinking... don't hold your breath just yet.......

I dont know of any Im afaraid. We have Muslim friends who went to Orlando at the same time as us in 2004. They did lots of research and tried to find a decent restaurant. They failed miserably and couldnt find one decent restaurant to eat in. If you havent got a car you are going to need to get a taxi to reach one. I would honestly stick to some of the great restaurants inside Disney or go for one of the excellent restaurants on I Drive.

There is an average one on International drive, not great but ok. It's near TGI's.

How about trying Animal Kingdom lodge... a restaurant called Boma's I believe.... maybe someone who has eaten there can give you some idea of the food they serve there?

We tried one at the Crossroads at the beginning of May - it was rubbish, nothing like what you get in the UK, I ordered some sort of Vegetarian curry which I could only compare to a tin of cheap vegetable soup - and it was our most expensive meal. I would stay clear of the Indian restaurans and wait until you get home. There are lots of much nicer places to eat - Like the Bahama Breeze (top of Vineland Ave) Best meal of the holiday.

It looks like DW will have to wait until she gets home for her curry, we have tried disney restaraunts last year and really enjoyed the experiences especially Whispering cannyon Wilderness Lodge.
Thanks everyone.
