Want to do both of these really but will probably have to settle on doing one. Which do people prefer if they had to choose. Got a 13 year old and 11 year old both of whom are picky eaters. Never been to either. I expect the atmosphere and food are quite different in both.

Did you not like it? I have looked at the menu and can't say there is much there that my family will eat.

Only our opinion but no we did not.

The service was horrendous and the food was overpriced and nothing special.
Nearly walked out at one point, however their speciality bread was lovely.:omg::tounge:
Not worth the money or effort.

But again, loads of people love it.

Hi

No contest really.....Chef Mickeys....... Breakfast or Dinner....... You choose, they are both fun experiences......oh..... and the food isn't bad either......

Both meals are Buffets so ideal for "picky eaters"

Now....get those napkins out :d:!

You can see reviews for both at the top of the page (under :erm: Restaurant Reviews I think) :pgig: LOL

Regards, AJAXON :wavey:

Chef Mickey's would be much better for picky eaters as the buffet offers a very good choice to suit everyone!

I wasn't that keen on our dinner at Chef Mickey's - if it had to be at the Contemporary I'd go for Concourse Steak House or into MK for a buffet at Crystal palace :tounge:

Does Mickey and some of the other characters come around the tables during every meal at Chef Mickey's or just breakfast?

Hi

Yep..... I know that he does at Breakfast and Dinner. They don't do a lunch at Chef Mickeys!

Now pick your meal, Don't forget to ADR it! (Yep....it's very popular) and get ready with those napkins :pgig:

Regards again, AJAXON :wavey:

The reports I've seen of California Grill recently have been very good - they have a new chef (seem to remember mcsue saying they had taken him from one of the other Signature restaurants) - heard things about Chef Mickeys not cleaning up and food on the floor etc.
I know which one I'll be going to next time and it's not CM's!!!

We werent overly impressed with the California Grill to be honest - but then again, our last meal at Chef Mickeys was mediocre at best.

They are both TOTALLY different dining experiences, so you need to decide what sort of meal you want really! Cali Grill is quite refined - you will find many locals here on a night out, really dressed up (as well as the theme park crowd too!), the menu is pretty limited and of course, its not cheap!

Chef Mickeys is the complete opposite! Its manic, loud and noisy but there is a huge choice of food, so even fussy eaters will find something they like. The dessert bar is really nice. unfortunately, we found it rushed, plates not being cleared away, a lot mess everywhere and not very good character interaction.

Does it have to be a choice between these two places? For fine dining then Id probably pick Yachtsmans Steakhouse - we found the food, staff, service and atmosphere MUCH better here than at the Cali Grill.

For a buffet, then Crystal Palace or Boma wins over Chef Mickeys for us.
