View Full Version : General query about booking Disney restaurants

When I've made reservations at Disney restaurants, I've been asked which resort I'm staying at. As it happens I'm staying at POFQ this time so obviously this is what I've told them. But why do they need to know? Can you only book at a Disney restaurant if you are staying on-site? Now I'm starting to worry because the one I booked today is the day after we arrive and we're not staying on-site until the end of the week (moving from an off-site resort). Does it actually matter?
No, you don't need to be staying onsite at all, but if you are then they link the ADR to your reservation, if not, they link it to your phone number. It's just so that they can retreive it if you call back to cancel later.
Also - if you are onsite you can book at 180 +10 days, but if offsite then it's only 180 days

No it doesn't matter. Anyone from anywhere in the world can dine on-site. There is no obligation to be staying on-site at the time.
Probably marketing research type stuff.

That's something I didn't know! Is that just for meals or does it apply to things like the Speciality Cruise etc? Just wondered.
Thanks for that guys, I was worried! I kind of thought it didn't matter. We are not hugely into booking lots of meals in advanced, only booked three so far. Might consider booking one or two more but we're there more for fitting in as many rides as possible than fine dining! :)
To be honest, I'm not sure. I didn't book a cruisem, but I did book the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and I called 180 days before check-in and booked everythign for the first 10 days, I had to call back later for the last 4 days bookings.

No, the cruises are still 90 days ahead.
Illuminations and Wishes cruises are 90 days, not 180.
