Has anybody stayed there recently? Any tips regarding where best to request a room?

Have only stayed in a hotel before, how do you find staying in a motel type property? Is your security and privacy affected at all?

Ive stayed there twice, both time the rooms were ok. The only thing is the second visit our room looked onto the kinda motorway at the back of International Drive, it was noisy early in the morning. After a few day we got used to it but if youre a light sleeper itd be better to avoid this side.

We stayed there a few years ago and it was fine. Nothing fancy but a good base down at the quieter end of I-Drive.

I think the motoway is I4

We stayed there in 2004, and found the hotel fine. It is not luxurious by any means, but lets fact it you won't want to spend all day in the hotel room, will you?? :tounge:

The rooms are basic but clean, and do have a room safe, microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board and coffee machine. There was also a security guard at the entrance, and you cannot get into the car park without your room key.

About a month before we went we requested a room that didn't overlook the I-4, as it would have been noisy. They did honour this request when we arrived.

Overall the hotel is fine, and is down the quieter end of I-drive. We personally wouldn't have wanted to stay any further north on i-drive than this.

Oh, and Friendlys is within walking distance and do great ice-creams!! :d:

we were there last year. Had room facing the pool. Security was fine, but there was one night when someone in our block was really noisy for hours, shouting and stuff. Hotel nice. For the price its great. Would stay there again.

We stayed in the hotel twice and no problems both times faced the I-4 (motorway) both times and you get used to the traffic noise you tend to find yourself watching the car`s and lorries going passed how sad

we stayed there last year it was lovely compared to the mining motel (travelodge universal) we were 1st put in ... its super clean fresh sheet and towels everyday it was not a ritz but all you need to sleep in for all the time we spent there i wouldn't hesitate in booking it again the breakfast are expensive and bizy in the hotel but sizzler is on the door step... there is a pizza hut there too... and point Orlando is across the street... with some fab wee shops xxx

We stayed there on our 1st trip in 99.

It was fine, no worries, pretty quiet and was handy as we didn't have a car.

Personally I prefer a hotel as I don't like the idea of your room being off an outside corridor - just unsettled me a little, but I'm a bit of a worrier like that!

I'm sure you'll have no probs
