Hi folks,

We have booked our villa from Aug 9th - Aug 30th.

We have stayed in private villa's on our last 2 visits and loved having our own space/pool/jacuzzi etc.

Spent ages on line going through 100's of villa's, found one we liked and booked it and have paid deposit. The company we are dealing with have been ok, prompt replys to emails etc

I just have some sort of nagging doubt in my mind, cant put my finger on it but am worrying about it :(

Not sure what if any links to the villa/company can be posted ? maybe a mod could advise and I could see if others have had dealings and put my mind at rest ?

Have had a number of PM's. Thank you very much, some re-assurance regarding the villa :thumbs-up

BUT
(there's always a BUT :( ) )

Have looked at the villa on google earth and it appears much further away from the parks than originally thought, really cross with myself as its something I really should have checked then double checked before

Did explain in one of the pm's that we normally go away with my mum and dad and this is our first time away since my dad died, mum is away seeing my sister who emigrated to Canada at the time so it's just myself, partner and kids. Funny thing is I'm not normally a worrier !!!!!!!!!!

Going to walk the dog and chill out for an hour, will then sit down and reply to the pm's.

Thanks all for taking the time to reply :thumbs-up

what is it thats making you unsure. location even if it is a little out of the way isnt a huge problem, i always feel as long as its clean, and isnt looking worn and tired, than you soon settle inand it becomes home for the duration. hope you can relax and start enjoying your trip. shirley

It really is a nice looking villa, the address is, Philadelphia circle, Liberty Village, Kissimme.

Maybe I'm just worrying to much, have waited ages and saved like mad to make this a really special holiday

Have you tried looking on Mapquest? Did that this week to find out where our condo is and I thought it was much better than Google Earth. There is an aerial view of everything and it's very clear.

I think a lot of us get like this, I know I certainly do. I make a decision then spend months worrying about it, Ive wanted to cancel my villa about 6 times now ( its our first time in a villa as ive never fancied them before) I drive my poor DH mad!

I dont think your villa is too far out, looks like a nice spot. :thumbs-up

Well I can't find it on mapquest but I wouldn't worry. In a google moment I came across somebody who had driving directions from the airports and I don't think it will be too bad.
Directions from Orlando International Airport.

Take the South exit and follow the signs for the 417 Kissimmee,
Turn Right onto the 417 (Greeneway) heading South for the Tampa/Disney attractions,
Go through 2 x pay tolls on the 417,
Turn off the 417 at junction 6,
Turn left onto 535 South,
Turn Right onto the 192,
Keep to the Left and look for Poinciana Blvd, you will see the Ramada and Perkins on the left at this turn,
Continue down Poinciana until you see Eagle Pointe on the Left,
Liberty Village is the next subdivision after Eagle Pointe on your Left,
Enter Liberty Village and turn Right after the roundabout,
Turn Left at the bottom of the road and you will see Philadelphia Circle on your Right,

I don't think you will be stuck in the middle of nowhere - unlike me!!!!! When you are there it will be a different thing. Now we know it is near Eagle Pointe there is bound to be somebody on here with some shortcuts for you.

Don't know if this will work but try this link: http://www.orlando-maps.info/top_down_maps/poinciana_south_sub_div.htm

We stayed at Eagle Point and are again next year ,we found this was a great location with no where being difficult to reach. The kids loved the drive up World Drive to the disney parks and ended driving over a 1000 miles! but never felt like it because driving in orlando is so easy!

I would suggest that the easiest way into the World is to retrace your steps up Poinciana Blvd, go across the 192 and turn west on the Osceola Parkway (it's toll free) and go to World Drive. Straight on for AK, turn right for other parks. Probably about 15 - 20 mins? Hope this helps.

I stayed at Eagle point last year which is next to Liberty Village (share same entrance. Whilst i was there a mate stayed on Liberty Village and absolutely loved it. Don't know the exact address but it sounds a very similar area, as i had checked it out for him on our previous stay. He had all the same issues of nervousness as you plus his owners communications and responses to questions was slow. It all turned out alright though and as i say he loved it. He never stops going on about how much he liked the area.
Hope this puts your mind at rest a little.

If you look at the maps then Ridgewood Lakes does appear further out - because mileage wise it is. However, it's really easy and quick to get to the I4 at junction 55 and then take the Disney exit at 62 which leads straight onto World Drive.

You'll find it a very easy drive as bear in mind it's not just about the distance but how direct and easy the route is.

Ridgewood lakes is a very quick trip to Disney it is about 11 and a half miles and all the roads are posted at 60mph and above all the way. 27 to I4 jct 55 and then to jct 62 vand follow signs for disney about 12 to 15 mins from Ridgewood and quiicker if you reach the max speed of 70 on 27 and I4.
