Hello there, my family and I are staying in this Hotel in just over a week for 10 days.
Anyone stayed there recently who can tell me if it is any good??? I have read mixed reviews online so I am getting a little nervous. :confused2
Also we are not hiring a car...well not yet anyway...what's the transportation like from the hotel to the parks???
We have been to Disney before, twice, but stayed onsite at the All stars so staying offsite will be a new experience. This time though, we are getting a suite..woohoo
TIA for any replies. :)
Bumping your post. Can't help you because I've only driven past it. It looked lovely from the outside, but maybe someone who has stayed there recently could help. Have a great time when you go. We stayed at Comfort Inn nearby and for the first few days we didn't have a car. The shuttle transportation was superb from Comfort Inn and you really didn't need a car for the parks. You will no doubt get a timetable for the SS shuttle. Have you looked on the hotel web site to see if a timetable is available? I know there is one on Comfort Inn web site.

Stayed there last year in a suite and had no complaints. It appears some of the rooms are a bit less desirable but all in all we enjoyed our stay - second time we had been there.
This year we are trying Bahama Bay for a change of scenery although LBV is a great base especialy if you dont have a car. The bus transport is fine and quite frequent.
Here is a good website with loads of info - hope this helps.

Hi stayed there with my family xmas and new year 06/07. Overall we were happy with the hotel, clean and friendly and very well positioned for everywhere. Say hi to Vergil the lovely porter if you meet him he's a real sweetie. Enjoy your holiday

The last hotel we ever stayed at in Orlando was the Sheraton Safari in November 1999. Since then we have always stayed in a villa as with two sons we need the space!! We found the Sheraton fabulous and really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were really friendly and helpful, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the food/drinks etc. were really great. Our sons who were little at the time (they`re now 16 & 15!!) loved the python waterslide. They went down it so much it`s a wonder they didn`t get dizzy!! ;-) Have a look here for the Sheraton Safari www.sheratonsafari.com :-)

We've stayed nearby to this hotel without a car and it is so near most of the Disney parks and seaworld you would not find it too pricey to use the odd taxi back from the parks if the shuttle bus times weren't convenient.
