:wavey: Hi

As we are going to Florida again next March, we are just going to take in a couple of weekends here and there this summer!

My DH & DD are great fans of Liverpool FC & so we have decided to go to Liverpool to see the docks, Beatles Museum & a tour of Anfield (hoping also to see a game if we can!)

Anyway, does anybody know of any nice hotels in Liverpool that is not within the centre of the nightlife but that is in walking distance of some attractions?

Any advice on places to visit would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a Holiday Inn Express at the Albert Dock. Just along from the dock there is a choice of Campanile, Dolby and Ibis hotels that are all reasonably priced and within walking distance of the city centre and in footie season there is a soccerbus to Anfield.

Just to warn you. Liverpool is in the middle of serious regneneration due to us being European Capital of Culture next year. The city centre is a big building site at the moment.

Hope that helps

Thanks Debbie, that is a great help. Going to try & check availability on these hotels.

Next year is a good time to come as there should be lots of events on as Liverpool will be European Capital of Culture. I agree with Debbie for the hotels, the Albert Dock area is good and not too close to the clubs but walking distance to the attractions. There are some really good museums there too that are child friendly, hopefully the roadworks should be almost over then too :).

The Premier Travelinn is nice enough, and the Travelodge are doing a really good deal on cheap rooms this summer (everywhere, not just Liverpool). You could stay for £15 or £26. Both very walkable from everywhere you want to go.

Thanks everyone for your help. Had trouble getting family rooms and in the end i have booked the Crowne Plaza on Princes Dock??! Hopefully it will be OK! I have booked the Anfield tour & hoping (though not much hope I think) of getting tickets for the Liverpool 'v' Chelsea game!

Be Ok...it will be fabulous. It is relatively new and in a great location. I have been to several work Xmas parties and other functions in there. It's one of the nicest we have.

Good luck with getting tickets for the game
