we are off to Florida at the end of august :spin: :spin: but fancy trying to squeeze in a cheap break at the start of the school hols too as it seems soooo long to wait, we just want to rent a cottage or caravan somewhere for a week in the UK where we can take the kids and our 2 dogs with us, anyone got any ideas (has to be cheap and clean)??

Hi
Check out the Haven sites, they allow pets and they do late deals.

Hi Tess dog, by the way one of my dogs is called tess!! i have looked at Haven and they are coming out at around £350 for ist week of summer hols, which I don't want to pay as we are going to Florida a few weeks later and we won't be using any of the facilities such as nighttime entertainment etc just want a quiet cheap park somewhere no frills for £150 for mon- fri or is that going to be impossible? maybe we'll just go out for some days or something, we live in the lake district so it is nice here but the downside is it takes a long drive to get anywhere else!!!

yes I think that might be the best option, we have all the gear and everything as we used to go camping when the children were young, just trying to save a bit of effort that's all, never mind it will burn calories in time for the dining plan for 2 weeks!!! :tounge:

Hi
My dog is caled Tess hence Tess dog
OMG £350 is far too much to pay, as another dibber said camping sounds good and the kids will love it.

We bought a tourer caravan last year and went for our first holiday in it last week to a great site in north wales we went from thur-tue and it only cost 100 with electric and everything the site had a bar/club room with entertainment great play areas for the kids and a heated pool the kids dd7 and ds2 loved it. Right near the beach and about 15mins from the main town
