Just about to book...

...it's turned into a bit of a nightmare due, mainly to Pop Century seemingly being unavailable on both the 4th and 11th July which kinda ruins my plan which was:

7 nights Pop
2 nights on-site at Universal
7 nights Caribbean Beach

or vice versa with the Disney hotels. Expedia and disney.com showing no availabilty for a value resort for 1-7 July but disney.co.uk does have availability for All Star Sports, so plan would be:

7 nights All Star Sports
2 nights Portofino Bay
7 nights Caribbean Beach

Thinking is...

1. The bright 'in your face' theming of a value will be good for Mads.
2. Caribbean Beach will be good for us all - good themed pool for Mads and, if Suzie wants to have some chill time, there is the beach and hammocks. I can toddle off with Mads to a park etc.
3. Doing a value before a moderate will mean we appreciate the moderate more than doing the other way round.
4. Portofino Bay - because I did Royal Pacific last time and Hard Rock just doesn't really appeal.

Any particularly negative views before I finally take the plunge and book?

The only advice I would give is, ask for a room at Sports well away from any pools. I got back last week and my 2 nights in Surf's Up overlooking the pool were sleepless ones. Oh, and keep your bathroom door closed. You won't hear the turbo toilets so much then. :thumbs-up

Just called a nice helpful lady in Orlando.

But not helpful enough - both the 4th and the 11th are COMPLETELY fully booked on both e 4th and the 11th which scuppers my plans. Might just go for some time at POFQ and some and CBR now...
