On the 192, we saw it being built back in Febuary & I'm wondering if its finished & if so, anyone know of a site which is taking reservations yet?
They have their own site but seem expensive so trying to find it elsewhere!

Lighthouse key resort and spa?
We stayed there last week. The building we stayed in has finished. You couldn't tell it is not completely finished from outside the gate.I think there are another 2 or 3 buildings to be completed. It is not a building site at all ,not like the LBV Resort Village & Spa.The buildings are first class as well as the rooms .They all very impressively furnished and decorated. All mods con and free daily room cleaning and change of sheets. After all it is suppose to be a 5 stars resort and we were all very impressed. We booked through Hotelopia and paid £245 for 1 week between 14/6 and 21/6/07.There is also a 52 places cinema showing 3 different films every day and 2 full size pool tables (free of course).A business centre with 2 pc with free internet and use of laser printer and fax machine. We definately will stay there again and recommend to anyone to stay there too.

Hi Mike
Thanks for your reply...thought this post was lost!!
Sounds like you had a great time, it certainly looked a good resort even back in Feb.
What size home did you have? We are after a 4 bed so not sure if they have those?
We are tempted to book Terre Verde at moment because that looks nice but i must admit i like the idea of a new place plus lighthouse is in a great position on 192 isn't it..Dont suppose Hotelopia will be booking this far ahead but will try!(want Oct 2008)
Thanks

now I'm in a dilemma!
Hotelopia can book it for the week we want..£406 for a 4 bed
So now I need to make a decision!
Mike have you any idea what the 4 beds are like? Are the villas all high rise buildings? Balcony's? Hows the pool? Is there a games room to occupy my 14 yr old & a play area for our 3 yr old?
Sorry, so many questions but you're the only one who seems to have even heard of it, let alone stayed there! LOL!
Although the price quoted is more than you paid, for a 4 bed it seems ok especially as its a new resort-What do you think?
Thanks!

Sally
I'm not sure if you found the layout of the 4 bedroom apartments at Lighthouse Key Resort, if not have a look at the attachment.
It should give you an idea

Thanks Paul!
Looks ok, what do you think of the room sizes, compared to yours?
Yours is probably fab too but we dont need that many bedrooms!
Thanks for the plan though!

The room sizes are smaller, but the 4 bedroom apartment is 2062 sq ft, which is a reasonable size for a 4 bedroom home.

hi,
We stayed in a 2 beds. There was 5 of us .2 can stay in each of the 2 bedrooms and there is also a pull out settee with a 6' x 6' mattress. So 6 people could stay there in comfort.there are ceiling fan in all the bedrooms ,lounge and even the balconly over looking the Orange lake.(The Orange lake resort and spa is next door)The master bedroom is quite big.12' x 12' approx.with en-suite bathroom, walk in shower as well as a hot tub with bubbles control.they give you fresh towels, shampoo ,conditioner, bath salt, soap eveyday.they even supply a simple sewing kit.
The buildings are not that high rise.4 floors in total. We stayed on the top floor and it was very quiet indeed.
The pool is lovely like an u shape.Zero entry one end and 5ft the other with steps. The other pool is an adult pool regtangle in shape with a hot tub next to it.The kids loved the pool as you can sit or lie down at the shallow end.A poolside bar serving drinks and a small shop and bistro beside the pool.
Did not notice a kids play area or looked for one as our kids are 10,12 and 14.But they spend alot of time playing free pool.An games room with a few arcade machine and an air hockey table next door to the pool room.
The location is ideal for Disney. No more than 10 to 15 minutes drive away.Walmat is 3 miles away. And a macdonald and a few resturants across the road.
The price of £406 for a 4 bed sounds ok.If you use Quidco you'll get 9% back.
I have uploaded some pictures of the resort if you interested to see the place.

Hi Sally,
Quidco is the web's cashback cooperative. Quidco collects referral commissions from online merchants and passes them all on to their members. The Quidco cooperative is a cashback revolution where members keep their full earnings in exchange for giving Quidco £5 out of their earnings once a year.
I have joined them since Nov. 2005 and I had earned over £1100 casback.

think it depends who you book through and what you pay as to whether you get cleaning and sheet changes etc
