How gd r the disposable ponchos that u can buy from wdw.
R they worth the money????
I would suggest you go to Walmart instead. They are very cheap and do the same job. Very handy for downpours or for keeping warm while watching fireworks.

They are much stronger than the dollar ones from Wallmart, but they are quite bulky to carry about. I have heard that any shop in WDW will replace them for free if they rip but I haven't tried it.
The villa we have used twice has a selection of different sizes haning in the garage for folk to use.

I would say they are definately worth the money!!
I bought cheap ones once and they were rubbish....no ventilation so VERY hot and sticky, tore easily and the hoods were just weird :erm:
The WDW ones, although bulkier to carry in a bag are ventilated a bit better, and as someone else said, if you tear em, they will be replaced for free.

i hate carrying wet pochos around, would much prefer to get the 50c ones and just throw them after the water ride i have been on. the disney ones are heavy and nasty to put on again if they are wet! :(
What fabric are the wdw ones made from? I thought they would be plastic to help keep you dry on the rides!

Hate to say it but NOTHING keeps you dry on some of the water rides like Kali river rapids etc. The water just pours in - usually round the neck - and runs down into your shorts and everywhere else.

Yeah they are plastic, but thicker plastic than cheapo ones. They have studs at the sides which you can close or leave open, making them more breathable.

I definitely think this is something we'll be acquiring for those famous Orlando downpours - if only for the pushchair!!
I wouldn't bother as you will dry off after a while anyway  that's what the water rides are all about, getting wet :pgig: or if you don't really want to get that wet then you could always take a change of clothes and put them in a locker and do the water rides first or last then you have fresh clothes :spin:

The WDW ones aren't really disposible. We've had a set for many years and they're still as good as new. In fact we've still got a set of the yellow ones!
As for if they're worth it - well that really depends on you, if you definately want a poncho then yes they are worth the money for the quality you get but if you don't mind getting a bit (or a lot) wet then there's really no point in having one. :spin:

We brought some for the kids for when it rained-but i personally would rather get wet than wander round looking like a giant c****m on legs:pgig:

We bought some last year from Walmart and didn't realise there were buttons down the side until we had been there for about a week, we got absolutely drenched the first few times it rained! :d:
